. La Masion Rose has 2 b/rooms (one on ground floor with double-bed & single bed and is en suite) & french marble fireplace. The second bedroom is on first floor and has a double bed .Living room with french marble fireplace &sofabed,satlelite TV,CD player.Kitchen with cooker,fridge/freezer,microwave,washing machine,all untensils supplied. Shower room & separate toilet also on first floor . All bed-linen supplied . Our village has a Bakery/cafe ,Butcher ,Tabac , grocery shop ,Chemist & Post Office .& 2 village Bars . On the outskirts of village we have a Supermarket for all your needs . We have several bikes if you fancy a cycle ...and sledges for for the slopes ! ( Bed &breakfast also available) .........

The Midi-Pyrenees / Ariege region
This beautiful area is at the foothills of the Pyrenees with stunning views both summer and winter. A delight for cyclists and walkers and those just wanting to soak in the scenery. Stopping off at the little villages for lunch or coffee on the way through the mountains or to tax free Andorra (1and half hr)There are several thermal spas all within an hrs drive and the historical towns of Foix and Mirepoix with great weekly markets are just half hr drive away.There are several ski-stations nearby suitable for beginners and the more experienced and husky dog sleigh rides.20 mins away are two lakes with canoeing and swimming.and horse riding Lots of trout fishing in nearby rivers.For those who want to shop,Toulouse is 1and a half hrs drive away ,if you don't want the worry of driving there ,jump on a train at Foix .
Belesta area
In our village of Belesta we have 2 Hotels /restaurants and bar. Our house is on the road to Montsegur ,a famous Cathar castle which is visited each year by 50.000 people.Nearby are several famous prehistoric Grottos including Lombrives and Bedeilhac .The nearby villages and towns all have their weekly markets and the old walled town of Carcassonne is just an hrs drive away. The Ski-station of Mont d' olmes is a 40 min drive or you can catch the Ski-Bus (during school holidays) in Lavelanet ( 10 mins away)
