The Mediterranean Coast region
The Turkish Riviera is set in one of the best locations in the world, surrounded by ancient cities and a turquoise sea, and is looked upon as the new face of Turkish tourism. Approximately 10 minutes drive from the resort beautiful sandy beaches are available to enjoy and for the active to embrace the many water sports on offer.
Paragliding, water skiing, jet skis, underwater diving and yachting are just some of the activities in the area. Away from the beach front you can find beautiful National Parks with magnificent waterfalls and flora. Perhaps you would prefer mountaineering, caving, white water rafting, hunting or fishing - you choose. Turkey is possibly one of the very few countries in the world where you can go skiing in the morning and swimming in the sea in the afternoon!
For guests, who are enthusiastic golfers, this area is your oyster. Belek is now home to 8 championship golf courses including the newly opened Nick Faldo course, with a further three under construction, and a target of more than 100 courses to achieve to meet the country’s aim to become the golfing centre of Europe.
All of this to be enjoyed at prices that will delight you and the resort management staff can book tee times and provide transport to and from the courses.
Belek / Tasagil area
Excursions to the many beautiful surrounding attractions can be organised with the site office. There is diving available and I recommend the ship wrecks of Antalya. There are eleven golf courses within 30mins of the villa including the National (Home of the PGA Turkish Open) and courses by Faldo and Montgomery. Ancient ruins abound and an evening spent watching a show in a genuine Roman amphitheatre is not to be missed.
The site is 10mins from the nearest beach in Kumkoy which offers miles of sand and quiet away from it all surroundings. However the best beaches are in Belek and Side.
I recommend Side with its stunning Roman amphitheatre and crystal clear waters. Car hire at the airport starts from 150euro for the week. It is a very simple 45min drive to the villa which is sited just off the main D400 near Tasagil. Driving in Turkey is pretty civilised and finding places is reasonably easy.
20mins away are the beautiful waterfalls at Manavgat with its restaurants overlooking the river and the falls. A stunning place for an evening meal. The waterfalls at Antalya are 30mins away and provide charming walks along side the river and down past several smaller water falls.
Turkey’s diverse regions have different climates, with the weather system on the coasts contrasting with that prevailing in the interior. The Aegean and Mediterranean coasts have cool rainy winters and hot, moderately dry, summers.

Some inflatable toys are available for the pool and a foot pump is supplied. A small tool kit is also provided.
Ground floor: A spacious and airy lounge and dining area with two sets of doors opening onto the generously sized terrace. A very well appointed kitchen complete with all white goods, oven, hob, hood, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and large pantry. Leading from the kitchen is a large utility room. Also on the ground floor is a downstairs cloakroom.
First floor: Large master bedroom with en suite shower room, fitted with shower, and doors leading to large balcony. The second bedroom is again a double with en suite shower room, and doors to balcony. The third bedroom is also a double and has doors leading out to its own balcony. The fourth bedroom is also a double. Finally, there is a family bathroom.
Further details outdoors: The complex has a pool bar with SKY sports a pool table, backgammon and Chess boards. Food is served from the pool bar. Adjacent there is a parade of shops for gifts and essentials including a hairdresser. The Main restaurant overlooks the large pool and the mountains in the distance. The site has 24hour security and management and group activities are often arranged by staff during peek holiday periods.
