BookThe Mediterranean Coast region
Blessed with a shoreline of golden sands, mountain peaks, fast flowing rivers and cities dating back to antiquity living side by side with contemporary buildings and perfectly manicured golf courses, Turkey's Mediterranean coast defies any one description. History, culture and nature converge along the Gulf of Antalya, where magnificent castle fortresses and waterfront Greek temples share the spotlight with Mother Nature's creations.
Places of Interest:
Belek (20 mins east)
Belek is a modern tourist destination and aiming to be the golfing mecca of Europe. Boosting 11 championship golf courses already and more on the way, this is a true golfers paradise. If golfing doesn't attract you there is also horse riding along the long sandy beach, Belek beach club, and some great restaurants in the town centre.
Side (20mins west)
The ancient architects of Side certainly designed their city to best advantage, building an enormous seaside amphitheatre and the Temples of Apollo and Athena on the water's edge. The old ottoman houses have been tastefully restored to become guest houses, shops, top class restaurants and bars. Side comes alive in the evening when history takes a back seat to a buzzing night life. An evening spent along Side harbour is a must for all holiday makers visiting Augustus Village.
Antalya (50mins east)
The beautiful old city of Antalya (Kaleici) is a must visit for any holiday maker to this area. The old town is a maze of winding narrow laneways, dotted with ancient ruins, mosques, cafes and bars, antique shops and souvenir shops. All lanes lead down to the harbour where you can take a boat trip for 1 hour around the bay for about £4.
Alanya
Only 50 minutes east of Augustus Village is the ancient fortress town of Alanya. Now a bustling tourist resort, the harbour is overlooked by the towering Alanya castle. A day spent exploring the castle and ancient harbour buildings, followed by a meal in one of the many excellent restaurants along the harbour is a fantastic day out for all the family. At night the harbour pulsates to bars and night clubs open well into the early hours.
Taurus Mountains (10mins to start of mountains)
Running adjacent to the bustling coastline are the Taurus mountains, a haven of unspoilt beauty and nature. The scenery here is truly breathtaking, and there are many activities such as trekking, white water rafting, canyoning and jeep safari to entertain the most adventurous of our guests.
