Location: In an attractive terrace, a 'stone's throw' from the beach.

Not only does Hollyhocks accepts dogs, but the owner really wants you to bring your four legged friend with you. She loves dogs and indeed has many of her own. The property is very suitable and they will even get their own welcome pack with treats, mattress, bowls, poo bags,towels and brush. Don't leave home without him/her – give them the holiday they deserve!

Accommodation: A canopied entrance leads into the hall and beyond to a spacious sitting room with authentic Beer Stone fireplace with a living flame gas fire. Attractive lighting and comfortable furnishings with a co-ordinated window seating will make you feel at home. For entertainment there is a TV, DVD, Freeview, CD Player and bookcase full of books and DVDs. The newly designed and decorated dining room has an open plan feel and has been transformed, with patio doors leading to the charming, secluded garden. It too has an ornamental Beer Stone fireplace with a large attractive dining table and chairs. The fitted kitchen contains an electric double oven and combined microwave, hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, wine cooler unit, and coffee maker, mixer and blender. There is also a warming plate in the dining room.

Staircase to first floor:

A new wet room downstairs with WC, wash basin and power shower.

Master Bedroom : King size bed, TV, wash basin, double glazing and outlook onto the garden and village beyond.

Bedroom 2: Pretty bedroom with a sea theme, containing pine furniture, twin beds, double glazing and outlook onto Beer's main street.

Bedroom 3: Large family room with twin beds plus bunk beds, double glazing, new soft furnishings and a wash basin.

All bedrooms have co-ordinated bedspreads and curtains and there is ample storage and hanging space.

New modern bathroom with bath, WC and wash basin.

Outside:

To the front of the property there is a pretty paved patio. To the rear of the property is a private sun trap patio area with floral tubs and bright borders in summer months. Garden furniture and a parasol are provided. Beyond the patio is a fenced and grassed area bordered with plants and trees with a washing line and a gate through to the public car park.

Facilities:

Gas central heating. PLEASE NOTE: Gas and electric are included in the rental price from 1st June to 30th September. Gas and Electric are charged by meter readings from 1st October to 31st May. Pets are not only allowed but actually welcomed, but strictly not upstairs. Private parking for 1 car. Child friendly with cottage style high chair and stairgate. All beds except the bunk beds have feather duvets and electric blankets are available. There is a selection of board and card games for wet weather. There are radio/alarm clocks in all bedrooms and a hairdryer is available. WiFi is also available at a reasonable cost. Bed linen/towels not included but can be hired.

Restrictions:

No smoking in the property. No short breaks. Friday to Friday bookings

Our Opinion:

An attractive stone-built period house, much loved by the family who have owned it for generations, Hollyhocks has a wealth of original features, including stone mullions and leaded light windows and Beer Stone fireplaces. Every attention has been given to detail, with very attractive décor and ornaments in keeping with the character of the property. Well placed for the shops and all the action in this peaceful village, Hollyhocks is one of our most popular properties, perfect for larger family holidays in the Summer months or smaller groups throughout the year.
