A very attractive cottage situated just off the Fore Street in the centre of the pretty fishing village of Beer. Barley Cottage, completely refurbished to an excellent standard, enjoys an elevated, quiet position, in a small row of cottages, built around 1900.

An excellent location just a 3 minutes walk from the sea, sheltered beach and bay where you will find deckchairs, local fish for sale, fishing trips, rock pools to explore and a good selection of 3 beach cafes. All to hand are the local shops, art galleries, inns, selection of cafes, a wide variety of good restaurants, the historic Quarry Caves and Pecorama model railway and play barn..

Stunning coastal walks along the Jurassic Coast to Branscombe in one direction, Seaton in the other and further onto Lyme Regis - this popular coastal town with the famous Cobb and the Undercliff nature reserve is only a 15 minute drive. The market town of Axminster with interesting shops, TV chef Hugh Fearnely-Whittingstall's River Cottage Canteen and indoor swimming pool is also a 15 minutes drive. "Lovely location could do with a bit of TLC."

The cottage was in a perfect position. It has beautiful views across Beer. We did have an enjoyable stay however the cottage could do with a bit of TLC as it really is a lovely little place. Our children enjoyed Netflix - thank you! It could have been cleaner and smelt musty which was a shame. Take your own pegs, dishwasher tablets and replacement toilet rolls!

"Great stay"

A lovely house, nicely decorated, with a nice elevated view across the village. 5 mins walk to the beach, fish and chips and pubs. Hopefully will return soon.
