Location, location, Location! – Situated in Beer with the most wonderful outlook over the beach and village, together with panoramic sea views as far as Portland Bill; yet only five minutes walk from the centre of the village and beach. An advantage not many properties can provide!

Kitchen: Spacious kitchen with medium oak units. 1 .5 sink unit. Electric oven and hob, Fridge Freezer, Dishwasher, microwave. Boiler for Gas Central Heating. Leading to Utility room, ideal for storing beach items. Additional sink, washer, tumble dryer and lots of hanging space for drying.

Sitting/ Dining room: Large double aspect room with gas coal-effect cream enamelled stove, two 3 seater cream sofas, coffee table Flat screen TV with broadband, DVD player and Wifi. Dining table and chairs.

Off the dining area is a large ‘L’ shaped conservatory with additional seating. The conservatory and sitting/dining room have the best view in Beer whether in the daylight or in the evening when all the lights are twinkling!

Upstairs to the Master Bedroom which is situated at the front of the property with the best views of all! Pretty double iron framed bed. Fitted wardrobes, bedside table and chest of drawers. Two occasional chairs and coffee table in front of the large picture window.

Bedroom 2: Twin single iron beds. Fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and chair, this room overlooks the garden to the rear of the property.

Bedroom 3: 3’ bunk beds with substantial mattresses. Chest of drawers and matching wardrobe.

Family bathroom with over bath power shower. Vanity unit enclosing wash basin and WC.

Garden surrounding three sides of the property. To the front of the conservatory is an elevated patio with table and chairs, to the side and rear the garden is terraced. Garage parking for one car. Due to the nature of the layout of the garden, the property is not really suitable for children under five. Please note that the lane to the property is narrow in places, and we therefore advise that you pull in wing mirrors whilst driving down. There is ample space to turn the car at the bottom of the lane.

"Spectacular, warm, comfortable and beautifully decorated."

Many thanks for taking the trouble to send your review of our property. As the owners of Summerhill, we receive many positive comments like this, which is why it is most perplexing and worrying when we read comments like the earlier one in July, questioning the cleanliness of the bathroom. Summerhill is not just a holiday rental to us, but a home and we have spent much thought on its décor and furnishings. The white goods in the bathroom are a bit “retro” admittedly, but serviceable, and, in the interim before we change them (part of a much bigger plan to give the house 3 double bedrooms each with a bath/shower-room), we have installed a powerful new shower, and generally given the bathroom a pretty décor with nice curtains etc. We regularly stay at Summerhill, and had we ever found it dirty (and we're pretty fastidious about these things) we would have complained loudly. For us, Summerhill is the very essence of a seaside holiday home - and from the many comments we receive, our guests do appreciate its charm and location; we are only very sorry when one or two fail to enjoy it to the same extent.

"Fantastic view......"

Having read the second review on this property I feel I ought to write this review to let future visitors know that the bathroom was very very dirty in fact we had to put the shower curtain through th… More

We make sure that any problems are rectified as soon as we are informed and reading through our day book, we were NOT approached by this particular guest!! We are sure that if the bathroom was in such a state they would have complained vehemently. The bath is going to be replaced after the season as the Owners realise that it is no longer up to standard albeit only cosmetically.

We really think that this negative review should not put people off booking the property as it has sooooo many pluses and, as said, the bath is due to be replaced.

"Nice in parts but needs updating urgently"

Fabulous view from living room window and upstairs bedroom.Both of these rooms were nicely decorated.However the bathroom was disgusting and should have been done before the property was let. It still… More

We always appreciate feedback from our guests but to log this a year later is somewhat pathetic. Summerhill has the most fantastic views of Beer Bay and the village, beautifully co-ordinated decoratively throughout. The bathroom is not disgusting at all. It has a white suite, hardly a pass down from the 70's - pampas or avocado suite. The handrail is for health and safety - some people have less mobility than others. There has been a small amount of mould but this has been addressed. As for the kitchen, it is well equipped and spacious, perhaps these people like a more contemporary style, ie no character! Just for your information, the kitchen has medium oak units.

With bedlinen provided, all fuel included, parking for 1 car, Sky TV, DVD, WiFi, CD player, a selection of DVDs, books, games, hairdryer, BBQ and views to die for. Why would you be so negative a year later?
