The West Country / Devon region
The coastal landscape of the Region with its surf, estuaries, rivers and coves makes it a haven for water-sports enthusiasts. Whether you prefer surfing, wind-surfing, water skiing, or just a quiet spot of fishing this is the place for you.
The Region also enjoys fine golf courses with sea views in addition to excellent golfing greens, making teeing off a real pleasure.
Many of the picturesque country lanes and National Trust walks lead to historic country houses and parks and children will delight in the variety of working tourist farms offering animal petting, conservation activities and falconry alongside outdoor activity centres.
The Beer area
There is an excellent selection of local shops in Beer (village store, newsagents, Post Office, off-licence, bakery, deli, several eateries, 3 local inns, art galleries, antique shops) and of course the beautiful horseshoe shaped beach - a real sun-trap with clean waters, rock pools at low tide and beach cafes serving great breakfasts and home-made treats.
See the local fishermen bring in their catch, hire a boat, watch some sailing and then curl up for the evening in your Beer holiday cottage.
Once discovered, never forgotten - Beer has a magical charm which brings visitors back year after year and is one of the most popular locations for walking holidays in Devon. We also have a number of dog friendly cottages to rent in Beer, Devon.
