From 10PM, the bar operates on an honesty system: serve yourself directly from the bar and write down your consumptions along with your room number in the booklet.

Library Lounge:
If spiritual nourishment is what you crave, the intimate salon-library overlooking the garden is the perfect place to lose yourself in your thoughts.
It harbours a stunning period fireplace for guests to laze around while perusing an art book, diving into a good novel, listening to music or simply admiring the winter fire’s flames from the comfy lounge chairs.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Herault region

The Mountains, Caves, the Lac du Salagou, the Canal du Midi and miles of Mediterranean beaches are all within a short drive. The area is steeped in history with many abbeys, chateaux and cathedrals to visit and discover as well as the famous towns of Béziers, Montpellier, Carcassonne and Nimes. Nimes boasts the best preserved Roman amphitheatre in the world.

Just outside the village is the golf course of Lamalou-Les-Bains. The well known Spa town of Lamalou-Les-Bains lies a few kilometres west and offers a good selection of bars and restaurants together with the Casino.
The Spanish border and the Pyranees lie just 90 minutes from the house and Barcelona can be reached in 3 hours for a fantastic day trip or long weekend.

The Bedarieux / Herepian area

Nestled in the heart of the Haut Languedoc Regional Natural Park, 5 minutes from Lamalou-les-Bains golf course, close to the Héric gorges and the Faugères vineyards, lies a unique, almost mysterious location.

Le Couvent is served by the airports of Béziers, Montpellier, Carcassonne and Perpignan, each airport offers excellent international connections. By road, Hérépian is 35 minutes away from the A9 motorway (exit Junction 36 Béziers Ouest, follow the D909 North, signposted Bédarieux, until you see the signs for Hérépian).

Wine is one of the best ways to discover the region’s rich heart and soul. Our fine selection of Languedoc wines is available for you to enjoy in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean are just a 50 minute drive from the Couvent d'Herepian; the closest beach being Valras-Plage.
