We have stayed twice at Villa D'Orb. It's furnished and equipped to a really high standard, so its not like a holiday let - more like home. The kitchen is particulary worthy of mention with good pans, knives and induction hob. I personally hate properties where there are exactly the number plates, spoons and bowls as the maximum no of occupants - you won't experience that here! The layout is ideal for couples/extended family to share. We took my dad and he had the downstairs bedroom with ensuite - whilst we had the upstairs bedrooms/bathroom. The pool was 80 degrees every day we were there. The town of Bedarieaux is a pleasant 20min walk along the river or 10mins on the bikes which are included with the villa. There are two bakeries, small super market and fruit and veg stalls in the town, plus some other shops. Bigger supermarkets are 5mins away by car. Since our first visit several new bars and restaurants have appeared. If you only go to one restaurant go to La Forge it is really excellent. There is lots to do nearby. Gorges D'Heric is a lovely (uphill) walk and if it's hot take swimming things to swim in the pools. The village of Olargues is really pretty for a quiet stroll. Pezenas is quaint, touristy and overpriced. The lock at Fonsaranes (outside Beziers) is well worth a visit. The coast is an easy 45mins drive. Sete is great for sea food restaurants. Beaches at Cap D'Agde, Narbonne and Gruissan are all nice. |

"Fantastically equipped villa, kids loved the pool, the bikes and the river. Great days out at Lake Salagou and Cap D'Agdes" Keith & Helen Conroy Middlesborough - Aug 2007
We had a fantastic week in the villa - it was incredibly well-equipped and had everything we could possibly need, which made us feel right at home. The girls were in and out of the swimming pool all day long and they really enjoyed picnics down by the river. We would particularly recommend a place called DinoLand to anyone with young children (next to Aqualand, on the south coast) - we had a great day out. Thanks for a wonderful holiday! Julian, Annie, Rebecca & Madison Humphries (11 June 2008)
I have never seen a villa for rent with such a high level of equipment.Everything worked as it should, and sitting on the patio for breakfast in the hot sun, then cooling off in the pool was great. An ideal location for travelling the region, and eating out at The Forge was first class. We even walked over the viaduct! Very friendly peoplein in the town, with a first class visitor information centre. The wines were superb, and we enjoyed tasting them at the various vinyards.
