This spacious, character 16th century thatched cottage offers a peaceful rural retreat on a working family farm, with acres of apple orchards and meandering river, perfect for countryside walks. Situated in an ideal location for accessing many parts of Devon and Cornwall.

The cottage location allows you to enjoy the many activities and attractions on offer such as walking, and cycling on the Tarka trail and the North and Cornish Coastlines are within easy reach. You are welcome to roam the farm within which the cottage is set and the owners will be happy to advise you of the routes. The River Torridge runs through the farm which is perfect for family picnics and paddles. This acres of apple orchards come into blossom during various parts of the year and are beautiful to see. Relax in the large garden with a BBQ, ideal for making use of the long summer evenings. Leisure facilities: the farm also features 1.5 miles of game fishing (by prior arrangement with the owners) which is recommended by many previous visitors. Farm activities: the owners are happy for visitors to observe, where appropriate, work in progress on the farm such as lambing, shearing or the apple harvest.

This comfortable accommodation retains original charm and character, offer FOUR bedrooms: 1 double, 2 twins and 1 small downstairs single with sloping ceiling. Bathroom: with bath, shower and WC. Further downstairs bathroom with WC. Lounge: beamed with TV, DVD, video and woodburner (first basket of logs free). Dining room: with feature range. Kitchen: with electric cooker, Stanley range, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Utility room: with fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside: large enclosed garden with seating and BBQ. Amenities: ample parking to the rear of the property. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Central heating and electric extra, at cost, payable to owner prior to departure. Regret no smoking or pets. Location: beach 15 miles, pub and shop 1 mile. Arrival: 3pm
