LUXURY FIVE MINS FROM MONACO
Apartment | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 5
The apartment is located in Beausoleil which is a short walk from Monaco. Beausoleil is a beautiful village that boasts great sea views and wonderful Belle Epoch architecture. It has a market, artisan shops, restaurants, cafes and patisserie.
The apartment is a short walk from Monaco train station and the famous Casino Square with it's landscaped gardens and world famous Casino. Parking is included with the rental rate but a car is not necessary if you are planning to explore the local area. The beaches, shops and sites of Monaco are all on your doorstep. Beausoleil is referred to as a 'balcony town', as it sits high on the hill behind Monaco so it is not ideal for young children or people with mobility problems.
The two bedrooms are located on the lower floor of the duplex. The master bedroom features a private balcony with sea views and a large double bed with beautiful linens. The second bedroom is next door with a large picture window over Monaco and the deep blue Mediterranean sea. There are televisions in both rooms and they share a bathroom.
The sleeping configuration is two double beds in the bedrooms with a further pull out single bed in the living room, so it can accommodate up to 5 people.
The living, kitchen and dining room occupy the large upper floor of the apartment with a balcony from which to enjoy the spectacular view. The apartment has been lovingly furnished by the owner for private use so it has every home comfort and practical facility that you might need for your holiday including full oven, large fridge, iron and ironing board, hair-dryer, television and beautifully dressed beds.
It is a great location for the many events staged in Monaco, for exploring the entire French Riviera or for slipping across the border to experience a little bit of Italy. We hope you will choose our apartment for your holiday and we will endeavour to assist you in having the best holiday that you can.

The Monte Carlo region
Monaco is a tiny independent principality nestled between the eastern edge of France and the western beginning of Italy. Monte Carlo is the capital of Monaco. It is just 2km long and 1.5 km at its deepest point. Despite its diminutive size however, it is huge in reputation , known internationally as the playground of the rich and famous. It does indeed boast more millionaires per capita than any other country but it remains something of an exclusive and luxurious village.
With everything within walking distance it is little more than the size of a large village with most of its sights and attractions densely packed close to each other. The Maritime Alps loom large on the borders reminding you that the wilds of the Cote d'Azur are on the doorstep too.
Monaco is famous for its magnificent Belle Epoch architecture and has one of the prettiest town centres in the world, presided over by the world famous Casino, Hotel de Paris, Opera House and Casino Square gardens. It is populated by exotic plants, people and cars and Casino square is the place to go to spot the world most expensive cars.
It is known for it's luxurious hotels and designer shops but Monaco is also a beautiful, clean, well organised family centric destination. Monaco beach has childrens play areas, family friendly restaurants and plenty of activities that won't break the bank.
The Prince's Palace, Monaco Old Town, The Oceanographic Museum, the outdoor cinema, Port Hercule, Larvotto beach and the Metropole centre are all sights that are worth visiting as well, of course, as Casino Square and all that dazzles within it.
The Monaco Grand Prix is held every year in the month of May, The Monte Carlo Tennis Masters is in April but there are events and activities scheduled throughout the year including the Monte Carlo Rally, Monte Crlo Circus Festival, The Rose ball and many other cultural events.
Beausoleil perhaps doesn't enjoy the same prestige as some of the other landmark towns on the French Riveria landscape. It is often overlooked and underrated which is understandable when you consider its glamourous neighbour. Being in the shadow of Monaco's glitzy reputation is a hard act to follow.
The two are intrinsically linked however, and Beausoleils lofty streets quite literally overshadow the Principality. Beausoleil and Monaco share history, they shared builders, architects and street names, they share sea views, mountain paths and pretty panorama's.
Beausoleil is famous for its Belle Epoch era architecture. It grew up around the elaborate building projects in Monte Carlo that saw the famous Casino erected and many of the beautiful palaces and villas built for the elite visitors to the Riviera at this time.
With it's own roots in Italian culture it is a pretty and decorated little 'balcony' town with wonderful sea views from many of the streets and apartments.
In Beausoleil you will find history in it's ancient ruins, architecture, churches, cemeteries and wild hilltop walks. You will find beautiful vistas afforded by its elevation, you'll experience village street life with its typical French markets and Italian influences but, perhaps most uniquely, you will find instant and affordable access to the prestige streets of Monte Carlo.
Things To Do in Monaco
Azur Express Tourist Train
In Monaco-Ville (the Old Town), hop on the Azur Express Tourist Train, which offers commentaries in French, Italian, German and English.
Bask on Lavartto Beach
This free public access beach is a perfect escape for some sun and sea. Clean and safe, all you need to take is a towel, sun block and binoculars for yacht spotting. There are also handy cafes and kiosks nearby for refreshments and light lunches. If you're curious to see what ‘real' people living in Monaco do for fun, this is it - the millionaires have their private beaches.
Break the bank at the Casino
Gamble in style at the Grand Casino in Monte Carlo. The casino is located in Monaco's most exclusive quartier, where all the most luxurious and fashionable hotels, restaurants and boutiques can also be found (including the famous Hôtel de Paris). The building's style is distinctively grand and luxurious and the casino is linked to the Salle Garnier Opera House by an impressive atrium lined with 28 Ionic Golden Circle columns made of onyx. The minimum age for entering any of Monte Carlo's casinos is 21. You will need your passport at the door as well as an entry fee of €10.
Relax at a spa
Relax at Monaco's health spas and beauty centres, the most famous one being the Thermes Marins de Monte Carlo (www.montecarlospa.com/).
Take a helicopter ride
Take a panoramic flight over the principality and the surrounding area with Heli-Air Monaco (tel: 0826 105 050; www.heliairmonaco.com). Trips last from 10 to 40 minutes.
Watch Formula One
Attend the world-famous Monaco Grand Prix Formula One race, which takes place every year in the principality's narrow winding streets, attracting thousands of spectators. Another favourite is the Historic Grand Prix, which is held every other year.

Just stayed 6 days in this apartment.
Apartment is a fine duplex apartment with sleeping rooms and bathroom on the 4th floor and living room and kitchen on the 5th floor.
Both floors have a balcony, a large one on the 5th floor.
Decoration is nothing special, but nice for a holiday apartment.
Kitchen is rather small but adequate.
Bathroom is nice and has good dimensions.
Sleeping rooms are fine, but beds are queensize.
All necessities are available (kitchen materials, towels, ...)
At evening/night, light in living room and kitchen was just enough but could be better.
Garage : there is a parking place in the garage but beware : bring a small car, e.g. size Smart ForTwo, Citroen C1 or similar. Larger cars will fit, sometimes and only with great parking skills.
Multimedia : Large TV in the living room, TV in both sleeping rooms (didn't work because plugs did not fit in the wall sockets). HIFI in living room, free WIFI and ... a beautiful Apple-PC
Contact person : the local contact person was very nice and very helpful.
Location : perfect, but keep in mind that going to Monaco on foot is not far, but takes many, many stairs. So a car is strongly recommended.
And last but not least : VIEWS
Views over Monaco and Port Hercule are just stunning. We could imagine just sitting whole day on the balcony and looking over Monaco.
Might there be some small downsides, they are all largely compensated by the views from the apartment.
Would we stay again : definitely yes
Would we recommend : yes
MANY THANKS FOR YOUR NICE REVIEW GLAD TO SEE YOU WOULD STAY AGAIN AND RECCOMEND IT TO FRIENDS.PERSONALLY I DONT RENT A CAR AS THE BUS SERVICE OUTSIDE APARTMENT IS REGULAR AND CHEAP.MANY THANKS JOHN HUSSEY
