Farmhouse | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 12
Pack your children and pets (and horses!) and escape to the beauty of the Kerry Valley. At the edge of the hill-country of the Lamington National Park and picturesque Tamborine Mountains sits Meadowbrook Lodge. Providing a farm stay, where you can unwind and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and yet it is only a short 15-20min drive from the bustling county town of Beaudesert; barely 1 hour from either the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Come and experience the Australian rural country life and the Scenic Rim district with Lakes and National Parks!
Meadowbrook offers two self-contained cottages; both beautifully appointed throughout, cosy, well equipped; ideal for couples, families and groups. The four bedroom brick built Meadowbrook Cottage comfortably sleeps up to eight people, whilst for those seeking a place to call their own, the Queenslander style Club Cottage is the perfect solution; providing a double bedroom and an additional sofa-divan it can accommodate up to four people. Both cottages have uninterrupted views of the valley and overlook the polo field and horse facilities that give Meadowbrook a distinctive personality.
Visitors to Meadowbrook spend their days on the property enjoying the sights and sounds of nature, walking or riding through hills, copse and along the creek, fishing for bream and trying to catch a glimpse of the duck-billed-platypus. The friendly animals on the farm include horses and ponies, sheep, goats, cattle and hens as well as the families of kangaroos and abundance of colorful birds. Horseback riding lessons for adults and children as well as riding trails on the hill country are available upon request.
Within the locality there is much to see and do with tours to vineyards, clay-pigeon shooting and introduction to 4x4 driving some of the more popular activities as well as visiting villages such as Tamborine and Canungra. For those so inclined, afternoons at the beach, fine dining or casinos in the city or days out at Movie-World, Sea-World or the exciting Outback Spectacular are within easy reach at the Gold Coast and Brisbane City.
For equestrian enthusiasts the facilities at Meadowbrook provide an ideal base for the weekend or the entire season; with stable and paddock facilities as well as a sand equestrian arena and a full size polo field. Bookings for the entire season are possible upon request for polo patrons looking for a host location for their team for the Queensland polo season.

You'll love our buzzing urban villages with live music, the coolest cafes and an eclectic array of the finest restaurants. Keep an eye on Brisbane's events' calendar for huge international sporting events, exciting and unique festivals as well as live performances on Queensland's premier shopping precinct. Imagine being right in the heart of the city, surrounded by skyscrapers, as you experience your own river adventure – go kayaking, roller-blading or hold your breath as you abseil 20 metres down the 20 million year old Kangaroo Point Cliffs… there's a memorable Brisbane experience for everyone.
The Scenic Rim: is an arc of spectacular mountains lying from south of Beaudesert, around to the area south west of Ipswich, in South East Queensland, Australia. It is situated within Australia's Green Cauldron which stretches from Byron Bay to the Gold Coast and west towards the Great Dividing Range. The sheer size of the caldera is breathtaking and shelters a huge diversity of rare flora and fauna, and subtropical rainforests within the rim of mountain ranges.
The Gold Coast: From the iconic Surfers Paradise beach to the sophisticated dining precincts of Main Beach and Broadbeach and out to the lush, green Hinterland, there's a new experience waiting for you at every turn on the Gold Coast. Theme parks, world-renowned beaches and year-round sunshine are just a few of the reasons 10.5 million visitors flock to this vibrant city each year - a destination which is as scenic and peaceful as it is fast paced and active.
Beaudesert is a quaint rural town situated in scenic mountain hinterland, less than an hour from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Often enjoyed as a convenient stop-off point on the Mt Lindesay Highway, Beaudesert is a buzzing destination in its own right. The ever-popular country markets here teem with local produce and high quality craftwork.
A smattering of high quality restaurants serve exquisite meals, while a growing number of boutique vineyards complete the picture of a food lovers' paradise. There is also a good selection of boutique accommodation that's perfect for a romantic getaway.
The Beaudesert area is also well known for its majestic national parks and rainforests, some of which are World Heritage listed. Check out Mt Tamborine, Mt Lindesay, Mt Barney, Mt Ernest, Mt May and Mt Maroon. Their spectacular scenery makes bushwalking a popular activity. Of course, a leisurely drive out on the winding country roads is not to be missed!
