The Villa Romane is a stunning and very spacious stone-built holiday villa in Provence with its own magnificent Roman-style colonnaded circular swimming pool, superbly located on a hilltop, and giving you the most wonderful panoramic views. The Villa Romane provides a very high standard of accommodation combining old style charm and original Provencal features, with modern day comforts. The Villa Romane basks in the sunshine and the very special light of this Provence/Languedoc region and is set in a delightful mature garden amidst the intoxicating fragrances of oleander, wisteria and lavender and among pine, olive and palm trees. The Villa Romane has 6 double rooms, a large comprehensively equipped kitchen, a Baronial-style dining room, a circular sitting room, 3 bathrooms, and 3 loos (all newly fitted). The Villa Romane, terraces, pool and private gardens give you far-reaching panoramic views across the magnificent Rhone valley. Just 1 mile from the historic twin towns of Beaucaire and Tarascon, you are very centrally located in the circle created by beautiful Avignon, St Remy de Provence, and conveniently no more than 12 miles from each and yet only about 45 minutes drive to the Mediterranean. The Villa Romane is bright and airy, painted white throughout and furnished in a charming & colourful antique Provençal style. It faces south and enjoys the full benefit of the quality of light and the delicious warmth. The Villa Romane was built around an old circular stone tower with windows certainly dating from 1820.

Located only 1.5 kilometres away from our nearest town Beaucaire the villa is ideally located to enjoy the town’s beautiful ruined castle overlooking the Rhone. The marina in the town full of charming colourful boats of all shapes and sizes and is a perfect place to go for a bite to eat at the restaurants that border the Marina or simply just to take in the atmosphere. There are a number of great restaurants in the area and we will be happy to recommend some to you upon your arrival. There is also large supermarket within a mile of the villa which makes your shopping trips easy and stress free.
Beaucaire area
For those of you who are searching for a venue for that special holiday Villa Romaine is for you. The Villa has so much charm and character that when you are there you will wish to never go home. It really has all of the magical charms of Provenance that will make your holiday very special.
The main cities of Nimes and Montpelier are nearby for those who would like to venture further afield, or why not try the beautiful market town of Usez located a forty minute drive away. If you prefer staying closer to the Villa you will not be disappointed as the villa and its surrounding areas really have a lot to offer.

Further details indoors: The villa has undergone complete refurbishment yet the style has been maintained throughout. There has been a lot of love and care that has been put into the accommodation making it appealing accommodation for all. The Provencal features have been retained and there are many personal decorative touches which is an asset to the charm of the villa. The passage leading up to the villa is a beautiful steep winding private road that leads to a few other Proancal villas before you come across the Villa. There is an electronic gate to entrance the premises which ensure privacy and security for the guests. The villa is not overlooked by others so does compromise your privacy.
Due to the layout of the villa it lends itself perfectly to smaller parties of two or is perfect for fully capacity of twelve. The villa provides very spacious accommodation which lends itself well to smaller and larger groups.
The grand entrance hall features a large stone fireplace which has two double doors which lead to the Baronial style dining room which seats up to twelve people comfortably. The dining room leads on to the ‘circular’ lounge that has an impressive stone fireplace which is 38ft by 16ft in diametre. In the lounge it is possible to view French TV, Satellite TV (including the BBC news channel and sky news), a HiFi and a DVD player. The large and very well equipped kitchen has a beautiful old antique oven (unfortunately no longer in use) which adds to the charm of this fantastic room. There are six bedrooms all of which are doubles or twins; Bedroom One; This is a very large bedroom which can be used either as a double or a twin bedroom. Bedroom Two; Is a beautiful circular bedroom benefitting from a four poster double bed. Bedrooms Three and Four: Both are doubles that can be made into twin bedrooms, these two rooms are especially beautiful as they have the Provencal sloping ceilings and exposed low beams. Bedrooms Five and Six: There two bedrooms are on ground floor of the villa, one is a double bedroom and the other is a double which could be made into a twin. These bedrooms have their own large bathrooms with a bath and a shower. There are four additional bathroom/shower rooms, three WC’s and a laundry room with washing machine, iron and ironing board.
The Circular roof top offers stunning views of the surrounding area; this roof top is accessible by an internal staircase. There is a beautiful terrace located on the raised ground floor which boasts stunning views over the gardens and is an ideal spot for dining or relaxing.
Keeping in theme of the Villa the Circular swimming pool built within a Roman colonnaded arena is a great pool for relaxing, soaking up the beautiful views and even some laps. Surrounding the pool is the beautiful sun soaked terrace which has sun loungers, great for those sun worshipers among you. For others who prefer to be in the shade there is a covered pool lounge which is a fantastic spot for relax and to do a sport of reading. There are a number of arm chairs and a sofa with a magazine table and a HiFi to compliment this area.
Further details outdoors: The summer kitchen is perfect for those poolside meals and it is well equipped so guests can enjoy a meal outside, there is also a BBQ and a serving area.
Within the mature garden there is also an Ornimental Pod garden, not to mention the beautiful trees and flowers which are ideal for those hot summer days when a little shade is needed. The outdoor areas of this Villa are really beautiful and can be appreciated whist playing some Boules in this idyllic spot.
There is enough parking for up to 6 cars and covered parking for a further 2 cars.

Security deposit: £1500. This is paid on arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection. Linen & towels: All linen and towels are included in the rental price. Energy costs: Included in the rental price. End of stay cleaning: Included in the rental price. Arrival time: 4.00pm onwards. Departure time: 10.00am. Pets: Pets not allowed. Smoking: No smoking in the property. It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover against potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property.
