Beadnell House was converted in 2006/7, into 6 luxury properties, the aim to give the building back the quality and grandeur long lost in its recent life as a small hotel, by keeping the main features of the property like the sweeping staircase, high ceilings, huge rooms and cornicing and provide accommodation which has all the attributes of modern day living combined with a taste of "to the manor borne".
The Penthouse, is a very modern apartment, created from the original attic and servant's quarters very different to the other properties in the building and exudes everything about today's modern living, with its comfortable leather sofas, raised mezzanine area with stainless steel and glass staircase, and the fantastic patio doors opening onto the roof top deck. From here you see the spectacular vista, from the Cheviot Hills in the West, via Bamburgh Castle and out the Farne Islands to the North. The apartment is close to 2 local pubs both of which serve food and is a fantastic base from which to explore further afield all the aspects of this beautiful county which is Northumberland.

The two double bedrooms are flexible and can be made up as Super Kingsize Doubles or twins, one is en suite. This property is ideal for couples or mature families (age 10+). This is the Penthouse and as such there are a number of stairs, so this property is not suitable for those with mobility issues. Sorry we do not have a lift.

Beadnell House has lovely gardens to the front which can be used by our guests as a quiet relaxation area. For more adventurous pass times like ball games etc there is a children's play park close by and of course our wonderful beaches. There are 2 designated car parking spaces for the property.

A welcome pack of local produce : cake/biscuits, preserve (sometimes home made), bread/buns, butter, tea, coffee and sugar is provided for 7 night stays.
Conditions
Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the building or on the balcony.
Pets are not accepted in The Penthouse.
7 night bookings commence on a Saturday
Weekend breaks of 3 nights commence on a Friday
Midweek breaks of 3/4 nights run Monday to Thursday.
A non-deposit of 20% of the total rental price is required on booking, balance is payable 52 days prior to arrival for dates. We accept most major credit cards (3% surcharge applies) and debit cards. Pay pal accepted for online bookings 3.4% surcharge.
If you book within 52 days of arrival full payment is required on booking.
A good housekeeping bond is required up to a max. of £250.- this is to be lodged in the form of card details to be pre-authorised for the duration of your stay.

The Northern England / Northumberland region


The North Northumberland coast is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with miles of sandy beaches, Castles standing guard over the coast, wildlife breeding grounds for grey seals and puffins to name just a couple. Gateway to the Farne Islands Seahouses is a bustling harbour catering for both the small local fishing fleet and visitor boats taking day trippers, orthothologists and photographers 2 miles offshore to the outcrop of Farne Islands.
15 miles south is the dominent Alnwick Castle with its world famous Garden, Inland are more castles, historical battle fields like Flodden, fantastic walking in the Cheviots, and sections of long walks pass through the area like the end of the Pennine Way, St. Oswald's Way, St. Cuthberts Way. Cycle routes around quiet local lanes or chunks of longer rides like the Coast and Castle route 1 between Newcastle and Edinburgh. All of which make this a county of many facets, there is literally something for everyone, young or old, activity orientated or sightseeing mad there is just loads to see and do here and we're confident your break won't be long enough to do it all, or so our past visitors tell us.... - you'll just have to come back again and again....
The Beadnell area
Renowned for its beautiful sweeping sandy bay with miles of sand - perfect for building sand castle and paddling. Watersports are well catered for here too as the bay has its own boat launch facility, kite surfers are fast making this their north east home and the little yacht club regularly holds races off shore during the season.
Beadnell has a breathtaking gently shelving bay and boasts the only harbour on England’s East coast whose entrance actually faces West. Two preserved 19th century lime kilns “stand guard” over the little harbour.
With a village shop, the Village Pantry Cafe, the Craster Arms and The Towers Hotel all within walking distance of our apartments and cottages Beadnell really is a super location for that family holiday by the sea.
Birdwatchers too are very well catered for with an abundance of waders and nesting terns in season.
Golf in the area is superb, with many links and parkland courses with spectacular views and testing courses there is something for every level and all with easy commuting - Seahouses being the closest is just 1km away, Bamburgh 2.5km and Dunstanburgh approx 4km. and for the young at heart there's always the crazy golf at the Bunker in Seahouses, to while away an afternoon.

This was booked as a surprise birthday present and I could not of wished for anything better. The apartment is fabulous, everything you could want and more. The views from the roof terrace both day and night are second to none.
What a fantastic apartment especially for two couples in a beautiful area conveniently situated to explore the surrounding villages.
....In my view this coastline has so much to offer and costs nothing. Walking on Beadnell Bay, glorious sunshine, gale blowing, sand blasted and tide out - mind blowing. ...... Come rain or shine this coast varies from day to day, if you look for it it's there. Enjoy it its free.
The initial "wow" factor of the apartment did not fade throughout the week. It is very well equipped and ideally situated to explore the surrounding area which has a lot to offer. Having eaten at Beadnell Towers 3 times during the week......... food delicious, varied and good value.
