This spacious holiday home benefits from a peaceful lakeside location but close to the amenties in Beanell, which include good quality pubs, a cafe and a general store. Within a few minutes walk is the coast and the stunning Beanell Beach which extends south to the village of Newton. This property is in an ideal location to explore the stunning Northumberland coastline.

This homely property is tastefully decorated and furnished and is very well equipped with everything you are likely to need for a relaxing comfortable break. With space outside on the private terrace and a spacious modern lounge, Quarry Bank provides a relaxing environment whatever the weather.

There are plenty of golf courses and lots of outdoor activities as well as some great walks.


Beadnell area

Beadnell is located on the North Northumberland coastline, well known for it's sandy beaches and superb scenery along with its picturesque villages overlooked by magnificent castles.

The historic village of Beadnell lies just a few miles east of the main A1 that links Edinburgh with Newcastle-upon-Tyne, but despite this, it remains off the beaten track and as a result has not been spoilt by over-development.

Beanell is a peaceful village but benefits from a couple of good pubs, offering excellent food, a cafe and general store. Beadnell provides an ideal central point from with to discover this fascinating and picturesque coastline.

This spacious holiday home is located in Beadnell village, a short walk from the beach. The village is easy to get to by car or public transport. There is a regular bus service from Berwick upon Tweed and Alnwick. Cheap flights are available from many major European cities to Newcastle Airport through operators such as Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2 and others and the cottage is only an hours drive from the airport.
Access by train is from Alnmouth station which is on the East Coast Main Line from London to Edinburgh. Beadnell village is a short taxi ride or bus from Alnmouth.
Driving to the property is very straight forward, just follow the signes forSeahouses from the A1 north and south of Alnwick.

Inside the house, you will find a light, spacious living area with good sized rooms with all you need to enjoy a relaxing break. The lounge / dining room is light and tastefully furnished with comfortable, modern sofas. You will also find a good sized dining table with seating for 4 people, TV, video and freeview digibox. The kitchen is well equipped with all you need including washing machine, cooker, fridge and microwave.

Upstairs are two good sized bedrooms and a bathroom. The main bedroom has a very comfortable double bed with quality furniture throughout. The second bedroom is fitted with two single beds with wardrobe and storage. There are great views from the bedrooms over the lake towards the sea. The bathroom is fitted with an electic shower over the bath, sink and WC.

The property has heating throughout, making this an ideal place to stay whatever the weather.

Further details outdoors:
Quarry Bank is located on the banks of Edgewater Lake and there is plenty of room to sit out on the terrace and enjoy this sheltered location. There is a table and chairs well as room for deck chairs where you can relax and enjoy the view over the lake towards the sea.

Within a few miles of Beanell, there are many castles including the impressive Dunstanburgh and Bamburgh, lovely villages such as Craster, Newton, Bamburgh and Embleton and much more. Only a couple of miles away is Seahouses offering access to the Farne Islands by ferry. This village also has a wide range of pubs, shops and a supermaket.

If you are looking to fill your days with activities, there are not just great walks here. You are surrounded by good links golf courses, cycling routes and other activites available nearby including horse riding and fishing.

With Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Holy Island and Lindisfarne all wihin 20 minutes drive, there are plenty of things to do for the whole family.

£100 deposit is required at time of booking with final balance due 4 weeks before arrival.
Pets are welcome at an additional charge of £20 for a full week and £10 for a short break.
