I am so glad you enjoyed staying at Tickle Cottage we do our very best to ensure the cottage is kept nice for all our guests and the location is great being so near to walk to everything.
Regarding not parking outside our elderly neighbours house, I like to think that our guests are understanding, our elderly neighbours opposite are a lovely couple and will do anthing to help our guests- holding spare keys if you get locked out, watering our window baskets, always there if emergency occured etc We inform our guests not to park outside their house in the confirmation letter as the view is important to them- yes I know they do not own the road but we have to be understanding. Sometimes cars- people carriers can be very large, they are in their eighties so just a little understanding is all we ask. There is plenty of spaces to park just passed their house, directly outside our cottage or even round the back. Good old fashioned neighbours are hard to find these days so our guests understanding is appreciated. They like to look over the village green especially now spending more time indoors and some cars can be very big these days.
Kindest regards Tracy Owner

"so good when we got home we booked a week in November"
cosy, clean and nicely decorated cottage in a very pleasant village. Both the kitchen and bathrooms were well laid out and decorated to a high standard. The neighbours were friendly without being intrusive and the small private and very pretty back yard area was an added asset.

"Great location, cosy cottage (but expensive)"
Beadnell is a fabulous location for a family with young children, with beautiful beach, rock pools, fish and chip shop and great pub. The cottage was nicely presented, cosy but modern, and very clean. It was well equipped, although the official information does not tell you that you have to cross the small courtyard and unlock a separate door to get into the utility room which housed the freezer and microwave. The only other gripe would be the price. We paid nearly £700 for the week (£100 per day) and accept that travelling in August is always going to be expensive. However, during our stay the soap dish in the shower broke through no real fault of our own. We reported this and otherwise had looked after the property well during the week, so were disappointed to find that £25 of our 'good housekeeping bond' would not be returned to us in order to pay for the soap dish. Surely a price of £100 per day is designed to cover general wear and tear, and perhaps if we hadn't been so honest and just thrown the broken soap dish away no-one would have been any the wiser?
That aside, this is a lovely property, especially for a couple, in a good location
"Beadnell is a fabulous location for a family with young children, with beautiful beach, rock pools, fish and chip shop and great pub. The cottage is nicely presented, cosy but modern and many guest like it so much they have booked again especially because of all the extras provided that make a family holiday more enjoyable. The utility room is in the courtyard it has a fridge (so 2 fridges at property ideal for drinks) / freezer / Microwave / extra kitchen utensils- whisk & slow cooker/ washing machine / Tumble Dryer / clothes rack / Iron & Board / Childrens Games- kites , skittles, balls etc /Picnic Bag / Wind break / charcoal for BBQ and its also a good storage facility.
We do like to maintain our property if things are broken and we do ask guests to be honest and as such a good house keeping bond is held in case of damages. The shower tray is an integral part of the shower and something has to replace it as we feel it can be unsafe for people bending down in the shower. Payment was taken of £25 with the guests permission to buy another and pay workman to install. We like our little cottage very much and hope you will too, kindest regards Tracy
