Longlands Retreat is a well equipped four star rated holiday home, with full central heating in a quiet location in the historic fishing village of Beadnell.
It offers a flexible sleeping arrangement due to the zip and link bed in bedroom two, which can be used as a king size or two singles.
The spacious and light lounge is tastefully furnished and decorated with seating for six people. It has a flat screen freeview TV, dvd player, wi-fi access, a telephone for incoming calls and a wide selection of dvd's, books and local tourist information to chose from.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you are likely to need, which includes a dishwasher, washer/drier, large fridge/freezer, microwave, cooker and coffee maker. The dining table in the kitchen seats up to six people.
The bathroom has a bath with shower over, wc and basin.
There are three bedrooms. One has a double size bed, the second bedroom can be set up as a king size double or two single beds and third has bunk beds. The double rooms have wardrobes, a chest of drawers and bedside tables with lights. The bunk bed room has two chests of drawers and one bedside table with light.
The snug has a television with an inbuilt dvd player and a playstation 2 with games to chose from. A good selection of board games are also available.
There is a highchair and travel cot.
All bedlinen is provided (apart from linen for the travel cot) and each person is provided with a bath and hand towel.
A welcome pack is provided on arrival.

The cottage is predominantly on one level, with one step down from the kitchen/diner into the snug/playroom.
There is full wi-fi access and the telephone accepts incoming calls.
The property benefits from full central heating (not storage heaters), making it an ideal property to visit all year round.

Wide selection of dvds to watch, games to play and books to read in the event of rainy weather.

The Northern England / Northumberland region
You can use the cottage as a base to explore the stunning Northumberland coastline, Farne Islands, Alnwick and Cheviot Hills or you could just relax in the cottage and enjoy the village, the local amenities, the beach and the harbour.
Ideal for walking all year round with beaches either side of the village. There is information about visitor attractions in the property. Dunstanburgh and Bamburgh Castles nearby, Farne Islands accessed from Seahouses harbour which is 2 miles away. Alnwick, Holy Island, Lindisfarne and other great places to visit are all within easy reach of the property. Ideal location for golfing, fishing, photography and bird watching holidays along this stunning coastline.
The Beadnell area
Beadnell is located on the North Northumberland coastline, about 2 miles south of Seahouses. It is well known for its sandy beaches, tranquility and superb scenery. Bamburgh, Alnwick and Craster are a short drive away.
The historic village of Beadnell lies just a few miles east of the main A1 that links Edinburgh with Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Set back from the main Alnwick to Seahouses road Beadnell retains a village atmosphere.
Beadnell is a peaceful village which benefits from two good pubs, offering excellent food, and general store / post office. The village provides an ideal central point from which to discover this fascinating and picturesque coastline of Northumberland. Boat trips to the Farne Island runs daily throughout the main season.
During holiday times the huge beach area is popular with families and sports enthusiasts alike but you can always find a quiet spot.
Watersports including, diving, sailing, surfing, windsurfing, sea canoeing and waterskiing are available locally. Boat launching facilities are available from the main beach (local fee payable). Day fishing trips run from Seahouses and Craster. Nearest golf course is 2 miles away and there are many to choose from within a 15 minute drive from Beadnell.

We stayed here over the Xmas and New Year Holiday period. Perfect size accommodation for a family holiday (there were two adults and two teenage children in our party). Bungalow was well equipped with everything we needed, and is provided to an excellent standard of cleanliness. Close to beach and local amenities all within easy walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.
