Traditional stone house situated in a charming village with easy access to places of interest. The house is on the outskirts of a Campsite but has a private driveway, parking and garden. It also enjoys unlimited use of the site facilities (during the season). There is an outdoor heated pool, tennis court and ping pong table. The Bar/Brasserie and shop (please enquire for opening dates) and extensive well maintained grounds can all be used by guests at the Gite as can the Reception & Tourist Information Centre. The house can easily accommodate 8 people and a small child. It is suitable for people with mobility problems as it has an electric stair lift.The shower room is equipped with "grab rails" for the shower and WC and a low height washbasin.. A single bedroom is situated on the first floor next to the shower for ease of use although the doors are not wheelchair accessible.
The living room which is on the first floor,has a stunning vaulted ceiling with a single sofa/day bed if required and dining table and chairs. The kitchen is fully fitted and benefits from a dishwasher, microwave, electric hob and oven. There is a laundry room on the ground floor housing a washing machine & tumble dryer.
The ground floor has 3 large bedrooms, 2 with 2 single beds and 1 with a double, all with a wardrobe & chest of drawers. There is also a family bathroom with sink, WC and bath with overhead shower.
Outside there is a patio area and garden with garden chairs & tables. There is also a private driveway and parking. The rear access of the property provides a 100m walk to the facilities of the campsite but is not accessible by the campsite users.

The house offers facilities for someone with mobility problems with ease of access into a large ground floor hall and an electric stair lift to a single bedroom and shower room adapted for disabled use. The first floor also has the living area and kitchen. Please note the internal doors are not wheelchair accessible.

Martragny is 8km from Bayeux which boasts the fascinating Bayeux Tapestry and stunning Cathedral together with it's quaint streets and shops to visit and sampling the local cuisine in it's many restaurants, creperies & bars. The British WW2 cemetery is situated here near to the War museum which offer a detailed insight into the tragic events of the Second World War.
15 minutes away you can visit the D Day landing beaches and really experience the reality of war from all perspectives at Arromanches with its 360 Cineman & Museum, Omaha Beach with Museums & American Cemetery.
There are numerous opportunities for countryside walks & cycle tours taking in the beautiful coastal areas of Courseulles sur Mer, Port en Bessin & Caen.
Throughout the region there are markets to visit for fresh local foods, seafood, arts, music & antiques with local visits to Cider/calvados producers with a tour and samples of course.
The DDay celebrations of the 6th June are extensive throughout the area with parades, ceremonies & commemorations for all nationalities.
In Bayeux there is the Medieval Festival and Toy Festival.
