Your Holiday Cottage, new 2008 overlooks horses grazing on 25 acre farm with views over the Kerikeri Inlet BAY OF ISLANDS. A Waterfront Jetty at end of garden for your kayak or boat or just enjoy the reflections of moored yachts. Fully equipped kitchen,spacious dining-living room,2 kingsize bedrooms,2 bathrooms,laundry,study.
This is a quiet location only 2 miles from historic sites of Kerikeri, the restaurants and shops.Your self-contained accommodation enjoys privacy yet your hosts are available to advise you on the best places to go and what is interesting to see in the Bay of Islands. Many from Europe come to this warm town to ESCAPE THE NORTHERN WINTER. They enjoy golf,fishing, boat trips, bowls, tennis, swimming and sailing. The historic buildings of the first settlement by missionaries is only a short distance away. There is so much to do in the Bay of Islands you will want to extend your stay.

The North Island region
The North of the North Island is the warmest part of New Zealand and for 5 months November-April we have an influx of "SWALLOWS'' who come South each year to escape cold winters.
We also have fourteen former British Airways pilots who have travelled the world and upon retirement have chosen to live in KERIKERI in the BAY OF ISLANDS. Other local residents include many who have sailed their yachts round the world before deciding to settle in The Bay of Islands.
Bay of Islands area
There are five National Trust houses to visit within one hours drive. These include Mission Houses and the Waitangi Treaty House which is a museum depicting the signing of a treaty with the Maories in1840.
Fullers is the leading tourist boat operator based in Paihia 15 minutes drive. Yacht charters and deep sea fishing expeditions and diving on sunken warships are all available. The east coast has good swimming beaches and exploring the bays by Kayak can start from the Jetty at THE CARRIAGE HOUSE.
How to get there
The Bay of Islands is in the North of New Zealand about 3 hours drive Northfrom Auckland.
You can also fly to Kerikeri, Bay of Islands airport in 40 minutes.Rental cars are available.
TheCarriage House is on the Waterfront just 2km from town shops and 5km from the Airport.
