The North Island region

Northland is regarded as the birthplace of New Zealand, rich in both culture and early Maori and European history - from Kupe, believed to be the very first Maori voyager to arrive in New Zealand over 1,000 years ago, to the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi between Maori and the Crown.

Northland's Sub-Tropical climate makes it the perfect destination to explore throughout the year. With plenty to do, great local wine, exquisite food, warm hospitality and outstanding scenery, it is a region not to be missed when visiting from other parts of the world!

Bay of Islands

The Bay Of Islands, with some of the warmest waters in New Zealand, is a natural wonderland where you can encounter dolphins, whales, and penguins and a diverse range of birdlife. It's a stunning region consisting of 144 islands abundant in marine life.

Russell, Bay Of Islands, is a quaint village located near the first capital of New Zealand, with a long and colorful history, having formerly been called "The Hell Hole of the Pacific". Swashbucklers, brothels and grog shops used to line the streets and the Bay was filled with Gaff Rigged Cutters, plying their trade up and down the coastline.

"Beautiful and tranquil weekend esacpe"

The house was beautifully clean, well laid out and the kitchen was extensively equipped. The location of the house was spectacular, with a large deck over looking the bay we enjoyed many evenings outside. The bedrooms were well decorated, beds and pillows were comfortable and the shower had great pressure.

"Fabulously relaxing"

This is a fantastic place to stay - quiet and secluded but with easy access to local beaches, Russell and the ferry to Opua.
The views out over the bay are simply stunning.
