The property has been restored to ensure that it is a haven after a long day out or a place to spend the day relaxing.
The open plan living area has a fully fitted kitchen overlooked by the mezzanine floor creating a light and airy feel. The terrace looks out on to fields and is a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine or have a bbq.
It is ideal as a romantic break away for couples or for a group or family of 4. There is an additional bedroom available to suit all your accommodation needs.

The Loire Valley / Maine-et-Loire region
The Loire Valley is a beautiful region of France. It is dotted with the most amazing chateaux and wonderful historical cities. The stunning cities of Angers and Tours are less than an hours drive, with great restaurants, chic shopping and elegant french architect either make a perfect day out.
Saumur is only forty minutes away and offers everything a typical french city should, lovely buildings, cafes, restaurants and spectacular views over the Loire river. It is home to the French Calvary which have annual displays in July. The surrounding region is covered in vineyards. The majority of these are open to the public for tasting and buying at any time of the day. Guided tours are available from Saumur or you could enjoy a relaxing river trip down the Loire.
The climate here is perfect for growing just about anything. Spring and Autumn are mild with a good deal of sunshine. The summers are long and hot but there are plenty of lakes suitable for swimming and there are local pools to cool off.
Bauge area
Bauge is a pretty town with cafes and a range of restaurants. It is a 10 minute drive from the property and has a tourist information office and lovely museum both of which are housed in the chateau. There is a weekly market and a large supermarket.
Bauge also has an 18 hole golf course set in rural countryside. There is a driving range and lessons are available. The many parks and lakes around this area provide a perfect day out for walkers, cyclists or family picnics.
The Foret de Chandelais is just 5 minutes drive, here there are marked trails through the woodland and many picnic spots. Fishing and horse riding are popular activities in this area and a widely available. It really is a beautiful part of the world to visit. The fields are full of sunflowers and corn, the wildlife and fauna are abundant and the location is rural but close enough to a range of activities to suit any sort of break away from home.
How to get there
By air: The nearest airport is Angers Marce. Eastern Airways fly into the Loire from Southhampton 3 times per week Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. There is hint of an additional Saturday service throughout the summer months. It is a quick and efficient flight. There is a car hire facility at the airport. It is a 20 minute drive to the property.
Daily flights from London, Stansted to Tours are very reasonably priced on the budget airline Ryanair. They often have great deals. Car hire is also available at this airport. It is a 45 minute drive to the property.
By car: The nearest ferry ports are on the Normandy Coast at Le Havre or Caen. Both ports offer daily crossings from Portsmouth. LD lines to Le Havre seem to be the cheapest. Road links to the Loire are excellent and the journey time is 3 hours.
By train: The TVG stops at St Pierre de Corps, Tours and a connection to Saumur is possible. There are various car hire companies in Saumur.
