About the home

Very tastefully appointed for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Three bedrooms, one with en-suite plus 1 shared bathroom (2 WCs), air conditioned. Fully equipped kitchen with linen,and towels supplied along with TV's DVDs. Wireless internet (Wi-Fi) at poolside.

Complimented by a 5 star resort style swimming pool on your doorstep, separate child's pool with water slide and spa pool all set in a lush landscaped tropical paradise boasting waterfall and fountains. Gymnasium, sauna, tennis and squash courts, BBQ area plus children's playground and swings. This is a well maintained gated environment with under cover parking and 24 hour security.

Being at pool level, the poolside WC's and showers are conveniently located for a larger group's convenience.

Bookings can be made by email or phone. To secure booking a deposit equivalent of two nights for each 7 nights of rental is required with the balance being paid 14 days prior to arrival date.

Malaysian Ringit or Australian Dollars accepted. A bond of two nights accommodation is required for possible breakages or loss of keys, security pass which will be refunded within 14 days of departure.

The Penang Island region

Penang delivers on the pledge " there's something for everyone". Ornately deigned temples, historic mosques, forts, lavish shopping centres, night markets, bustling nightspots and food to die for along with lush gardens, tropical parks and rain tree lined streets.
In the historic streets of UNESCO World Heritage site Georgetown, rickshaws transport people, just as they did the merchants, seafarers and Chinese tow kays one hundred and more years ago.
Two or three days are easily spent wandering the narrow streets in awe at the history surrounding you at each turn. Savour the stall and coffee shop foods famous in Malaysia as being the best throughout the land. Bargains galore.
The island is dotted with other attractions - Kek Lok Si Temple, Penang Hill, the Botanic Gardens for a walk with monkeys at dusk, the Snake Temple aptly named plus countless others. The diversity leaves visitors pondering "where to go first?" That's if you ever leave your pool.

To Lavish Shopping Mall, Banks and Medical Clinics - 10 minutes
To Historic Georgetown- Gurney Drive eateries - 20 minutes

The Batu Ferringhi area

Miami Beach a short stroll in front of the apartments has a quaint eating place which serves good food and cold beers which you can enjoy while watching the setting sun. Five minute drive to the famous Batu Ferringhi tourist hotel stretch with facilities catering for the endless stream of international and domestic tourists year round. Beach activities include para sailing, jet skis, horse riding, theme park. Have a beach jog and and a rejuvenating post jog massage right on the beach. Again a fine variety of local and international cuisines. The night bazaar, every night, stretches along the roadside seemingly forever. Visit the new Hard Rock Hotel opened August 2009. A must inclusion is the fish spa treatment to rejuvenate those tired feet.

By air to Penang International Airport. Malaysian Airlines, Pelangi Air, Air Asia, Firefly, Cathay Pacific, Garuda Indonesia, Thai International, China Southern Lines, Japan Airways. If not direct, fly to Kuala Lumpur International Airport and connect with a local budget carrier to Penang.

Miami Green Apartments are located at Miami Bay, on the fringe of the the most popular Penang Island tourist destination of Batu Ferringhi, approx. 40 minute drive from the airport. Airport taxis are readily available along with tourist mini buses for groups up to 8 people.

Car Hire (Kasina, Hertz suggestions) is not essential but perhaps advisable for a few days. Taxis can be hired on a daily basis for island touring at very reasonable rates and are convenient and hassle free if you do not wish to drive and park. Normally available just outside apartment block.

“Great base for Family Visit to Penang” The apartment was a great base for a family visit to Penang. The complex itself is gated with 24 hr security. There was a large pool, children's playground and gym for residents use. The pool was excellent, suitable for both kids and adults who wanted to swim laps. Our children loved the water-slide, which came out into a shallow pool and was suitable for both our 3 and 9 year olds. The apartment itself was clean, of a good size, and the beds were comfortable. It is on the same level as the pool, but not right next to it so there were no safety issues. The apartment has everything you need, with three large bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a TV, DVD player and lots of reading material - books and tourist information. It is close to Batu Ferringhi for trips to the large 5-star hotels, grocery shopping and the night market, but you can also easily access Georgetown via bus or an inexpensive taxi ride. We hired a car for three of our seven days and found that great value also. The owner (Neil) was great to deal with, and everything ran very smoothly.

“Great place to stay in Penang - especially for families” My family and I stayed at this Miami Green apartment for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year. It's a terrific place to stay and I'd particularly recommend it to families. The apartment is tastefully furnished and well equipped with all the household items you might need during a stay. Penang isn't really a place that you want to eat at home much but it's good to have the option when you have small kids. The pool area at Miami Green is large and while we were there it never felt crowded. The apartment is on the ground floor so that access to the swimming pool is excellent. Another thing to note is, despite the outdoor temperature, this apartment remains remarkably cool and we seldom used the air conditioning because of this. The owner, Neil, was extremely helpful and has local contacts if you need assistance while you are there. I have a few other tips and recommendations for places to eat and rental cars if you would like to contact me.

“Affordable luxury” Neil's apartment is very comfortable and well-appointed and enjoys a good location about 3kms from the central Batu Ferringhi area and there is also a quiet beach just across the road nearby with small cafes etc. Georgetown is about 30 mins away by bus(great service and v. cheap) in the other direction. The impressively landscaped swimming pool is just outside the front door, together with the gymnasium and sauna. Neil was very helpful throughout and provides a wealth of information about Penang both in advance and in the apartment. Excellent value for money !

“Ideal place to relax with or without children of any age.” I would happily recommend this place, it was spacious, clean, had every amenity required. Grounds well kept and facilities including pool, playground, tennis courts and gym excellent. Good location to get to markets, shops and beach.

“We absolutely loved our stay!” Booking through Neil, the owner, couldnt have been easier. He was very helpful and all transactions went very smoothly. I was searching for 12 days accommodation that offered plenty of space and a pool for myself and my 3 boys aged 9,11 & 16. Well Miami Green Apartments at Batu Ferringhi was so much more. The grounds of Miami Green were lush and tropical. The pool area was gorgeous and so inviting. The gym had a good variety of equipment and what a view as you workout! The pool, gym, sauna and grounds are so very well maintained and clean. Neil's apartment was really lovely and spacious and from the front door you walk right out to the pool. The apartment isnt up in one of the highrise towers and is on level 3 of just 4 floors. It has 3 bedrooms, 3 queen sized beds and 1 single bed, a bathroom and an ensuite. There was a kitchen and laundry area, dining and lounge. It was so peaceful to sit on the balcony in the early morning and look out to the jungle and part ocean view. There are a few other high rises around but it certainly isnt noisy at all. A variety of birds would be flying by and I even observed a family of monkeys feeding and swinging about in the trees up the hill. It was very relaxing around the pool too. It never seemed to get overcrowded and rarely noisy. At night, the pool and grounds, there's also a spa, were all lit up and it looked so romantic. Staying at this apartment was a real pleasure and just like a home away from home. We cooked our own meals sometimes, we could do our own washing. We came and went as we pleased. There are security guards at the gate and also a couple that patrol the grounds. We used a hirecar but there is public transport available. The beach was a short walk down the road. I will definitely stay here again and I will bring my 2 year old twins and hubby next time.... though it would be a lovely getaway for just hubby and me....

What a top spot Penang and the apartment was more than we expected. Just a fantastic holiday with the combination of poolside rest days and nights in between the times of touring and nightlife. We also took a bus to Hat Yai in Thailand for an overnight stay, it's so close. We'll be back

Dear Mr. Neil,
Even though we have visited Penang from KL many times, this was the first we used the alternative to hotel accommodation. So much nicer and you don't have to pay exorbitant prices for everything the children want on the spur of the moment. Sometimes you also want that home cooked meal a couple of times a week.

Hi Neil,
The accommodation was so pleasant. All we needed was there. Made it so comfortable for novice tourists to be met at the airport and shown the way. Plus the advice on shopping etc. you sent us and from your local lady, Linda was terrific. So helpful. We didn't like to hire and drive but the taxis and buses were good, clean airconditioned and cheap. I think we've now been spoilt for other destinations.
Regards from the Queenslanders. You know who.
