“Great Apartment, great location, highly recommended!”
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at City Scene - Henrietta Street apartment. The flat was beautifully decorated, very clean and very welcoming. We stayed just before Christmas and the mulled wine and mince pies as a welcome gift was a very nice touch.
We were shown around the property quickly and politely and felt confident that we knew where everything was. The apartment was very well equipped and I especially liked the coffee machine in the kitchen and also the fact that there was an ironing board and hair dryer as well as a very wide selection of local guides and local restaurant/takeaway menus.
The location of the apartment only 5 minutes walk into town yet still incredibly quiet at night was superb.
If you want somewhere to stay in Bath, near the city with bags of character and superb facilities this is your place, I highly recommend a stay at City Scene - Henrietta Street apartment.
This spacious flat afforded plenty of space for my wife, adult son and myself. Beds comfortable. Heating - more than adequate. Nicely appointed small kitchen. Large sitting room/dining area gave us plenty of space to be together, but not in each others way. It is only a short distance from Pulteney Bridge/town centre and we were able to explore much of Bath without using the car. Parking was nearby on the street outside the building and parking tickets were waiting for us on our arrival. We would not hesitate to use this flat should we have the opportunity to visit Bath again. We found the owners very helpful and kind.

“Fantastic apartment in Bath city centre”
We stayed in this beautiful apartment for 4 nights. Tricia very kindly waited for us after our delayed arrival. We even had some fresh milk and biscuits for the following morning breakfast! The apartment in very close to the city centre yet away from the hustle and bustle of the shopping area in central Bath. As a bonus, Waitrose is around the corner! I would certainly recommend this accommodation to anyone.

“This was a great experience”
We really would recommend this to anyone that wants to come to the wonderful city of bath, park the car and leave it for a few days and explore the city. The apartment is large and very well equipped and Tricia was amazing in making all arrangements. We will definitely be staying here again, next time we come to bath, and we will recommend to our friends. All mod cons very comfortable and warm and a very comfortable bed. Restaurants and pubs in town are wonderful (little tip check out the french style tapas restaurant next to the Theatre (cant remember its name), outstandingly good and reasonably priced. All in all a delightful stay, many thanks. Jeremy and Family.

“Perfect location and great apartment”
Myself and 4 friends stayed here for one night as a reunion get together. Situated right in the centre was a great location to explore Bath on a short visit.
Patricia was friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again!

“Great location, lovely apartment”
Located in the heart of Georgian Bath, this apartment was a great base for our family of 4. Walking distance to all ahistoric attractins (but hilly!). Owners very easy to deal with. Apartment has 2 bedrooms, a double and a twin. Twin bedroom is very compact. Very small but functional kitchen, get rouse lounge / dining area. We came by train, but parking is limited in the area if you travel by car.
The apartment was perfect for our visit to Bath. Comfortable, luminous and placed near of the city center, next to the Pultney Bridge. Typical, very calm street of Georgian houses so we sleep without noises. Patricia received us when we arrived and helped us in everything what we need. Thank you Patricia. Undoubtedly it would return to reserve it.

“Beautiful, clean apartment with ideal location and very reasonable”
The Apartment was ideally situated, with a very short and beautiful walk to the centre - minutes away!
Every room was immaculately clean and modern and well presented.
Excellent location, just up the road from Laura Place. Very close to the centre of Bath. Flat was clean and tidy. Flowers, biscuits, milk, orange juice and coffee on arrival. Perfect for w/e stay. Owner was helpful and friendly. The parking permits were perfect as we could leave our cars just outside the flat without having to worry about parking meters. My friend & I had a brilliant time, catching up and shopping. Would definitely recommend the Thermae Bath Spa too.
We stayed at this lovely apartment just one night for a quick sightseeing weekend for my partner and myself. It was a last minute booking and we couldn't have been luckier when Patricia told us of the apartments availability. It's location is perfect, a stone throw from the city centre and famous sights. Patricia was very accomodating, we ran late, yet she still greeted us with a warm smile, a quick tour of the apartment, a locals tips on where to eat, what to look at and then left us to relax. I wouldn't hesitate recommending 9 Henrietta to anyone who is considering a short stay in Bath, we will definitely be back!

“Lovely apartment, excellent location, excellent parking - would love to stay again !”
A perfect location, came for the bath half marathon, the start was just around the corner from the apartment so me very happy. Good parking, didn't have to use the car . The apartment is well equipped and very conmfortable, a great place to relax. Would definitely stay again and reccommend. The owners are very easy to get in touch with and nice to receive a welcome upon arrival.

“great apartment, brilliant location”
Perfectly located, less than 3 minutes walk into the centre of Bath. Residents parking permit worked well and we didn't move the car for the 4 days we were there, which was a real treat. The apartment was well fitted out and had everything we needed for our holiday.
Super period apartment in fantastic location seconds away from Pultney Bridge and minutes away from all the main tourist sights. Tricia took care of our booking swiftly, answered all our questions, and met us when we arrived Sunday evening with the key and explained about the apartment. Nice lounge to crash out in after a long day of being a tourist, compacted but well equiped kitchen, and comfortable double bedroom facing the back. I slept like a log every night and didn't hear a noise. The bedroom in the front has 2 single bedrooms which my eldest, TALL son used. Room was fine, but Christian wished there was an over matress on his bed. Something we have in Norway, layers of matresses that make a bed ultra comfortable. Can't think of anything negative to say. We throughly enjoyed the apartment, loved Bath, loved having endless restaurants, pubs, shops on our doorstep. All is walking distance, and Bath will delight you! Thanks Tricia and Martin, best of luck to you.

“The perfect base from which to explore beautiful Bath and beyond”
We spent a lovely Christmas at the Henrietta Street flat. The owners had made it especially welcoming for the season with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, mulled wine and mince pies and even crackers. We had brought rugs because I thought the flat might be a bit chilly in its high ceilinged, Georgian elegance but not at all - it was cosy and warm. And it really is a delightful, elegant apartment just a couple of minutes walk across the Pulteney Bridge to the heart of Bath.
A great location. As we were there during the Christmas holiday, we have lots of shopping to do, we were able to go back to the apartment couple of times and come back to shop again. It also near the tourist attractions, so time is save travelling between attractions.
On our first day, we were there around 8pm and they were there to pass the key to us, which we think is very kind of them to accommodate us during the late hour.
The apartment is decorated with a Christmas tree and lights, which give it a very nice warm welcoming feeling.
Our family has a great stay there.

“Beautiful Apartment and Very Convenient”
Myself and My three Friends travelled to Bath to visit the Christmas Markets and go to a Rugby Game. The apartment is so central. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and 2 minutes walk from all shops, pubs, restaurants and the rugby stadium. The apartment was extremely clean and cosy and both Tricia and Martin were excellent to deal with. I would recommend this apartment to anyone going to Bath.

“Well equipped, clean & airy apartment handily situated for Bath city centre”
The apartment was light & airy with modern furnishings whilst still retaining the original charm of the building, ie wooden shutters, stripped floorboards. The owner was v helpful - arranging the booking & confirming arrival time was easy. Welcome pack of tea, juice & biscuits much appreciated. The location is EXCELLENT, just a few minutes walk over Pulteney Bridge into the heart of Bath. However, despite it's location there was no noise at night, so we all had a great night's sleep in the very comfy beds. Would definitely use this apartment again if staying in Bath, rather than a hotel, as it's nice (& cheaper!) to be able to self-cater if you want. Great to be able to park for £1 per day too. Only downside for us was being asked to strip beds & clean property before leaving. Also not good for anyone with mobility problems / pram as on the first floor & no lift.
The flat is lovely, with everything we needed. Beautifully furnished, quiet but really close to the centre of Bath. We had a lovely time - but watch out for traffic wardens while you're filling out the parking permit!

“In the city scene, indeed.”
The apartment is in very good condition. A few unimportant tips to improve it:
* Kitchen utensils: one pan and one knife to cut bread. * Twin bed bedroom: It is very confortable. I would change only one of the beds for one sofa-bed (it would be useful for families with only one child) I would also make the window to be more isolated to sound and light. (The main bedroom is excellent)
Response: Thanks for your positive review.
We've added a brand new knife block in the kitchen, and a complete set of new pans (completed beginning of Nov)
We've also installed beautifully lined curtains in both bedrooms to compliment the original Georgian shutters, which improve both light and sound insulations (completed beginning of Nov)
Unfortunately being a Grade I listed building we can't install double glazing to improve this further.

“Perfect location to explore Bath”
We stayed in this apartment for a week with our two young kids and it was the perfect spot to explore Bath as it was only a few minutes walk from the centre of the city.
The apartment itself was bright and clean. If I was critical I would say that it had been furnished a bit cheaply, but it is only a minor issue and certainly shouldn't put anyone off.
All in all I would highly recommend the apartment.

“Beautiful apartment, peaceful but in the centre of everything!”
I booked this apartment for a 2 night stay with my Mum and Grandma in June this year while I was over from Australia (originally from the North of England). The booking process was smooth and pleasant via email which helps when 12,000 miles away! The apartment is beautiful and a lovely oasis to return to at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. It is very central and a perfect base for visiting the city, but is lovely and peaceful and doesn't feel as close to the centre as it actually is when you're relaxing there.
Lovely furnishings and decor, very helplful and friendly people running it, 5 mins walk to the centre of Bath, can highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay again if visiting Bath. Can also recommend No. 5 restaurant around the corner...a 2 min walk from the apartment, super service, excellent food and live music (which added to the atmoshphere without being intrusive) and very good value...particularly the mid-week special menu, which is available later into the night than many places offer.
Overall had a wonderful stay and would love to return!
This apartment was in a fabulous location, only minutes walk from the city centre sights and restaurants. It was extremely well presented with everything you would need from holiday accommodation and check-in was very easy. Parking permits were provided although parking in the street itself was not guarenteed. Nevertheless there was ample parking nearby. Beats a cramped hotel room any day. On the first floor so not suitable for wheel chairs or possibly pushchairs.

“Perfect location for exploring central Bath”
Flat was lovely and quiet and just a stone's throw from the centre of Bath. Easy to find and park - once there we went everywhere on foot. The welcome pack was a really nice touch.
“Perfect Location for all that Bath has to offer!”
Thank you for sharing your wonderful apartment - it was a delight to be so close to all that Bath has to offer.

“The perfect location for a weekend in the city”
We rented the apartment for a weekend in December when coming to Bath to watch rugby. The property is ideally situated for the rugby ground and city centre, and is in easy walking distance of all the main attractions (as well as the train station; you really don't need to bring a car). Unlike some rental properties, the flat is well heated, making it ideal for a winter stay, and is equipped with everything you need for a weekend. The beds are very comfortable, and the views from the windows down the old streets of Bath are beautiful. In terms of improvements, the only thing I could think of would be perhaps that the bathroom needs sprucing up a little as there was some limescale damage to the bath, and another comfy chair in the lounge area wouldn't go amiss. Over all though, these are very minor quibbles, and I would definitely choose to stay at this property again when visiting Bath.

“Good location, poorly equiped and not very comfortable.”
On the face of it, the photos makes this appartment look stunning, Very cleverly taken from different angles. The location is superb, but the minute you enter this property a sense of disappointment takes over. The shared entrance hallway is quite shabby and smelt terrible for the 18 days we stayed there, a very strong aroma of curry filled the stairway. The notice alerting guests to the security issue, re recent burgularies was quite alarming. The shutters to the windows were poorly maintaned and did not close properly, we had to use fleeces and towels to cut down the drafts, As none of the windows had curtains. The 2nd bedroom is little more than a cupboard of the lounge without wardrobes or any form of adequite storage. the second bedroom has an uncomfortable single bed with a slide out under it. the kitchen was poorly equipted also, the fridge doesnt even have a freezer or icebox in it. Parking is also difficult in this location as they are two hotels both opposite and next door. The permit that can be arranged at the guests expense has to be renewed every two days by phoning an 0870 number. Not a property that I would consider booking again. No WOW factor.
Response: 'City-Scene', is ideal as a short stay holiday apartment. In this instance, guests wanted a value for money, 3-week stay while working outside, as stallholders at the Bath Christmas Market.
We were informed that only 2 guests would be staying at the apartment, as a result the second twin bedded room was not fully made up. However it quickly became apparent that up to 6 guests were staying in the apartment. Guests were also inappropriately using it as a central stockroom, to restock their stalls.
The apartment is located on the 1st floor of a Grade II Listed, Georgian Building and the shutters are an original feature. We do not advertise having curtains, and feel they would detract from style of the property. We do not advertise the apartment as having a freezer. The communal hallway is kept tidy and is cleaned weekly.
Henrietta Street is one of Bath's premier locations. There are no known security issues in the building or on Henrietta Street. The apartment has two locks in addition to the main entrance.
As an additional service we arranged parking on behalf of our guests every morning to ensure their commercial van remained parked conveniently outside the apartment for the duration of their stay. I am surprised to learn of any inconvenience.
At no time during their 3-week stay were any of the above issues raised.
