Home description

Situated between Bath's famous Royal Crescent and the Kings' Circus, this lovely maisonette has been thoughtfully and tastefully renovated to provide a most attractive and spacious apartment occupying the first and second floors of a Grade 11 listed building located in a pedestrian street. The main door into the building leads to a communal hallway, with the apartment entrance door on the first floor. Once inside the apartment's private hallway, a door leads off to a spacious and tastefully furnished dining/sitting room, from which the well-equipped kitchen opens off. The two bedrooms and bathroom are reached by an open staircase.
The maisonette is carpeted throughout and retains much period charm in its retained Georgian features, furnishings and ambiance. All the rooms are light and airy and the overall effect is one of charm and character.

The West Country / Somerset region

Bath is a unique city 120 miles west of London and is designated a World Heritage Site.

It is a compact Georgian City with Roman origins. The thermal springs, Roman Baths, Saxon Abbey and wonderful Georgian Crescents and architecture attract visitors from all over the world.

As a result, Bath is a very cosmopolitan city, with excellent restaurants and European-style cafes, a huge selection of boutiques and specialist shops.

It is also a centre for the arts in the West Country and the city's cultural life goes on all year, comparing with the best in the world.Set in the rolling hills of the Somerset countryside, Bath is a beautiful and lively city to spend a vacation.

Bath / Central Bath area

Bath and the surrounding countryside offer many varied activities such as golf, fishing, water sports, horseriding ,as well as diverse cycling and walking trails.

Golfers can choose from no less than ten local golf courses, ranging fron the Approach course within the Royal Victoria Park to the many challenging courses in the countryside beyond.

One fo the best ways to explore Bath and the historic countryside is by bicycle or on foot. Some routes of interest include the Bristol to Bath Railway path, the Avon Cycleway and the Kennet and Avon towpath.

No matter what the season, there's usually a festival somewhere in Bath and North East Somerset. A few of these include the Bath International Music festival, the SpringFlower Festival, Shakespeare Festival and the Fringe Theatre Festival, to name but a few!

The countryside which surrounds Bath has a rich history and intoxicating beauty. Dozens of conservation villages are to be found among the hills, rivers and valleys, such as idyllic Bradford on Avon and Cotswold villages such as historic Lacock and Castle Combe. The Chew Valley area has riverside walks, woodland strolls and hill walks for the most enthusiastic of ramblers as well as excellent fishing.

How to get there

Central Bath is a one and a half hour drive down the M4 from London Heathrow Airport and two hours from London Gatwick. It is only a one hour train ride to Bath Spa Station from London Paddington, or from Heathrow, take a British Rail bus, then change trains at Reading .
