Home description
All you need for a relaxing family break or romantic getaway with the amenities of Bath and the surrounding countryside on your doorstep.
Manor Farm House, at one time a medieval grange run by the monk's of the nearby Hinton Priory, stands proudly with it's impressive 17th century facade in a peaceful lane in the heart of the historic village of Norton St Philip.
Monks Retreat: The apartment is entirely self-contained and is positioned on the top floor of this historic manor house. The private side gateway guides you through a courtyard garden to an elm studded medieval door. The staircase leads you on to the recently refurbished apartment in the vast attic space awash with oak beams and beautiful views of the rolling countryside.
Beautiful Locality: Norton St Philip is a very pretty ancient village and a wonderful place to relax after a busy day. Bath is a 15 minute drive (not in the rush hour!). The village has two pubs - The George Inn, claimed to be the oldest in England and the Fleur de Lys. Both serve delicious home cooked food. There are two local farm shops. A variety of countryside walks from your doorstep. Easy access to Bath's tourist attractions, restaurants, Thermae Spa, Theatre Royal and shops. Children's play park is 1 minute away. Norwood Rare Breeds Farm is located in the village. Horse riding 2 miles. The Bath area has a large selection of golf courses.
