Monks Retreat apartment is hidden away on the top floor of this 17th century manor house. The private side gateway leads you through a pretty courtyard garden to an elm studded medieval door. The staircase leads you to Monks Retreat where the beams are huge and the space vast. Recently converted and tastefully finished. Fantastic views of the rolling countryside. Calm and tranquil surroundings, birds and farm animals are your neighbours for the duration.
Longleat and Centre Parks (spend a day at the spa) 15 mins away. Go shopping in Bath and see the architectural gems 15 mins drive. Wonderful farm shops to discover, cycle rides on the canal, Cheddar Caves, Wookey Hole, Stourhead National Trust gardens, Wells cathedral city.

Go horse riding 2 miles away at Wellow Treking Centre, they also do clay pigeon shooting. Castle at Farleigh Hungerford and many National Trust properties to visit. For parties of 8 - 14 guests: 2 additional bedrooms (both en-suite) on the 1st floor link through to Monks Retreat. Double sofa bed in living room.
