About the home

THE CRYSTAL PALACE is another one of our romantic period flats located in the very centre of Bath. In the winter, the Christmas Market is all around us, and with the weather cold and rainy, you will be one of the lucky ones to be staying so close to all the heritage sites, fantastic shops, and the many excellent restaurants and cafes that Bath has to offer.

The Crystal Palace apartment is beautifully furnished, in a period style, as befits the elegant period touches in this 250 year old building. There is a lovely and comfortable open-plan living-room, with sofa, dining area, and attractive stylish kitchen.

The double bedroom has some unique details and there are windows all around letting in plenty of light along with romantic views of historic Bath, Abbey Green and the famous Crystal Palace Pub.

REMEMBER THOUGH, you will be staying in a very lively area on the weekends, so be aware that this is not a quiet country cottage!

The bathroom has both tub and shower, but is quite cosy - and the tub is a small French style one, but the bathroom has even more pretty and unique features and fixtures. All the rooms are attractive with many surprising touches. This apartment is both beautiful and romantic!

THE CRYSTAL PALACE apartment has wide screen TV, DVD and WIFI and is in an amazing location. You will be exactly in the centre of Bath and everything you can imagine is at your doorstep.

We have furnished the Crystal Palace with many personal touches, period pictures on the walls, crystal light fixtures and live plants, and have tried to make this apartment as attractive as it is comfortable. The double bedroom has a Moroccan feel to it, with its gorgeous red spread and oriental ornaments. We provide all the linens and towels, as well as teas and coffees, cereal and biscuits. You will be in the very centre of everything, so REMEMBER, THAT IT CAN BY QUITE LIVELY in a central pedestrian area!

Out your front door is picturesque Abbey Green, leading to the shops and restaurants, as well as the Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths. The amazing city of Bath is your front and back garden!

You only need to give us your credit card details to secure your reservation.
RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY: We will need a credit or Debit Card to Confirm your Reservation:
DEPOSIT: We will be taking a £100 deposit with your reservation which will be debited from your Credit/Debit card, and we will take your balance the same way 6 weeks before your arrival.

We will hold your card details as insurance against any damage, which we do not expect, but just to remind you that you are the one who will be responsible for the condition of the property when you depart. Try to make everyone in your party aware that they must be respectful of the neighbours as well as our property and to leave everything in good condition.

BALANCE: YOUR FULL BALANCE will be taken 6 weeks before arrival.
We will take this from your credit or debit card also.

CANCELLATION: In the unhappy event that you must cancel after you have paid your deposit or your full balance, we will make every effort to rebook the property. If the property is rebooked, your funds will be returned, less a £50 Administration Fee.

However, if the property remains unbooked, you will forfeit these funds paid to us in good faith.

Sorry, because of the antique furnishings, we can not have toddlers staying in Abbey House.

The Southwest - Bath is located in the perfect position to make it accessible to some of England's most famous historic and ancient sites. Only one hour from Stonehenge, Avebury, Salisbury and Wales, it is only minutes from the Cotswolds and some of the most beautiful walking trails in the world!

The Bath / Central Bath area

Bath - the attraction is this beautiful city itself. Inside are the famous Crescents, terraces of architectural marvels, famous squares and streets with fabulous shops and museums everywhere. The Roman Baths, an ancient wonder, as well as the gorgeous Pump Room, the Abbey and the Circus are some of the sights you must not miss. In addition, there are world class festivals all year, from Music to Jane Austen, and the famous Christmas Market is the highlight of the holiday season.

The modern Thermae Bath Spa, using the mineral waters of Bath, is another wonderful addition to Bath's many attractions.

Fly into Bristol Airport and take train or taxi to Bath. Take train from either Gatwick or Heathrow.
Train from London leaves Paddington Station every half hour and takes only 90 minutes.
I will give you detailed driving instructions if you choose to come by car, but thankfully, we are located in the very centre of Bath, so for most of our apartments, you need only head for the Roman Baths!

Great communication, clear directions and brilliant location.
Highly recommend a visit, the location is perfect as just behind the house is Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths!
Very clean and affordable, I will def book again!

NOTE FROM LAURA: Thanks, Dale - but just to let everyone know - the Crystal Palace apartment is best mid week - when Dale was here, because it gets quite lively down there by the Abbey on weekends!

Fabulous location, Cute and well-appointed home away from home
We really enjoyed our stay at Laura's apartments. On arrival, there were fresh chocolate croissants and cookies along with milk for our coffee/tea. Very thoughtful. Simon met us and gave us the low-down on the best Fish & Chips and breakfasts in town. We would highly recommend the Beau Nash for a great breakfast. The Crystal Palace is a cute, clean, cozy and warm apartment that we really enjoyed coming back to at the end of each day. It's perfectly central to everything, and very close to Marks & Spencer to stock up on snacks and beverages for our evenings. There's a cute little tea shop in the courtyard, and we were right next to the Roman baths. We arrived at 2 pm, met Simon, and managed to tour the Baths and walk all around Bath by the end of the day. That's how convenient the location is. We would definitely consider staying here again, if we return to Bath.
