Escape for a week-end to this historic four-storey Georgian townhouse in the heart of Bath nestling just two steps away from the madding crowd in the quietly fashionable Margaret’s Buildings, a lane of boutiques and restaurants between the world-famous King’s Circus and the Royal Crescent.

Over four classic townhouse floors there are 5 bedrooms - charming double/twin suites to choose from - and 3 contemporary bath/shower rooms with a beautiful bespoke kitchen area and large convivial refectory island. Lending an edge to the traditional comfort there are 4 flat-screen TV’s, DVD player with library, CD Hi-FI, Wi-Fi and wine cooler!

This gorgeous Georgian residence is owner-managed by a first class team and comes with the attendant delights and comforts you can expect only from such a personal service. The three double (or twin-bedded) suites are each on separate floors and provide supremely comfortable accommodation adored by all who stay, each with crisp white linen bedding and each with their own bathroom facilities fully equipped with ample fluffy white towels and complimentary toiletries.
The twin-bedded and single bedroom are perfectly suited for a quiet and cosy night's rest and the prestige king-size sofa bed is specially chosen to comfortably sleep those lucky extra two guests in a full party of 12

The English-oak refectory island in the kitchen area provides an ideal focal point for informal eating and drinking and ensures that you can enjoy a convivial home-lifestyle during your stay.

Relax from the worry of traffic wardens and park your motor in our garage just 2 minutes away after unloading luggage. Additionally use the Charlotte Street parking a mere 300 metre walk away across the beautiful Victoria Park

Stop to take coffee in a cafe, or lunch at a bistro, from a choice right here in Margaret's Buildings or Brock Street.

Rugs, carry-hamper and garden chairs are provided in the entrance lobby to help you enjoy a little comfortable rest and recuperation on the expansive greens of Victoria Park just a few steps away.

Or just watch a film on any one of our up-to-the-minute flat screen LCD TV's

Stroll round for good grub at the gastro-pub nearby or to dine in style (with very good food) in four of Bath's best restaurants each within three minutes walk.

Of course, you could just take a bath at the Spa and travel to and fro in a horse drawn cab.

Conditions

There are stairs rising up and down through the four storey’s of this traditional townhouse but nothing to deter the reasonably fit and able bodied.

Children (recommended for no younger than 8 years-ish due to the stairs, windows and layout) ) and adults (well-behaved and with clean fingers) are as warmly welcomed as spa-enthusiasts, families, hens, gays, historians, theatre-goers, shoppers, Jane Austin fans, foodies, concert-goers, dilettantes, musicians, literary aficionados and others looking to enjoy a stylish holiday in Bath for 2 nights or more.

Smoking is not allowed in the Townhouse for safety reasons but there are benches and café chairs right outside in Margaret’s Buildings conducive to those with this penchant.

Pets and the City of Bath don’t really mix so, apologies to Fido.

Look up to muse over the splendidly imposing Royal Crescent and see an original Ha-Ha Wall on the lawn. Or catch an open-top tour-bus from the pick-up point right there on the corner to see the sights of Bath in comfort and with a guide. Stroll over to No 1 the Royal Crescent and experience how the Georgians really lived or walk 200 yards to the Fashion Museum in the Assembly Rooms to see how they dressed. Reward yourself with afternoon-tea at the Royal Crescent. Then spoil yourself with a choice of fine dining (just ask us), really great theatre for all ages and tastes, a festival of music choices, or just shop till you drop at the best of the west in Bath.

Act young at the crazy golf (or just play on the course up the hill), play tennis at the Club (with lent rackets) or simply stroll round the Botanical Gardens, then take a boat out on the canal or watch the hot air-balloons take-off on all nice warm evenings.

Nestled between the Kings Circus and Royal Crescent, Marie Got's Townhouse is in a quiet pedestrian street of traditional and charming boutiques called Margaret's Buildings.

Bristol Airport is an accessible 40 minute taxi ride away (we recommend Bath's V Cars 01225 464646) Bath Spa Railway Station provides a 10 minute taxi ride and is host to the Thrifty Car Hire office 01225 442911 if you need one for your stay. Driving from Heathrow Airport is a 90 minute direct and easily navigable mainly motorway journey. Central London is a 2 hour drive or 90 minutes on the inter-city service every 30 minutes from Paddington Station.

“Not quite the Georgian luxury billed” Significant rules & regulations on booking- all of my party had to give over their mobile phone numbers before we could stay. A lovely place but in need of some TLC; unfathomable electrics... more

“Dont book here, they wont return your deposit!” After a good weekend in Bath at what is a lovely house and great location I spoke to them the following week reguarding the return of my deposit. Its now over a month later and I am still trying to get it back! It seems some ongoing dispute between neighbours and landlords has occured and the landlords sees fit to withhold a deposit over untrue overzealous complaints! They apparently complained about noise when on both evenings we left the house before 9pm!? Hardly an unreasonalble time to have some music and laughter in the house! It seems to me that the landlord is probabley doing this to everybooking just to make some extra money!

The Deposit is non-refundable in the event of Cancellation.

The Deposit is refundable within 7 days of your stay where there is no unreasonably cleaning required, and no misuse or unexpected or unrecorded damage to the property or other breach of contract in respect of guest conduct or behaviour reported.

In addition to the Deposit, the full Rental Payment is of course payable and we ask for this eight (8) weeks prior to your Arrival Date.
