We specialise in "house parties" for up to 10 people (but we regret no all male or stag parties). The fine furnishings and wonderful ambience lend themselves to Christmas and New Year gatherings, wedding stays (the bride can get ready and go to the ceremony from here), sedate Hen Parties, company weekends, film company location accommodation and family celebrations. Housekeeping every day and breakfast included - other meals available if required. LICENSED BAR. Graded 5 stars by Visit Britain.

Within the exclusive use package, you will have 3 course candlelit dinner on one evening, to include cheese & biscuits and coffee and mints - you can choose from our menus for a meal to remember. Afternoon tea upon arrival and our services throughout your stay. Later check out time of 11.30am
Exclusive use package: Use of 5 bedrooms, 4 bath/shower rooms, drawing room, dining room, gardens (weather permitting). You will find Clifton House has the perfect blend of superb service but also the privacy to use the house, play games in the drawing room, play piano etc. Full cooked breakfast each morning, at a time chosen by you beforehand - also fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, croissants, coffee, tea, fruit juices. The West Country / Somerset region
The Georgian City of Bath with stunning architecture and also Roman Baths is a World Heritage City and attracts visitors from all over the world.
Also within a short distance are the cathedral cities of Wells and Salisbury, Stonehenge, numerous National Trust houses and the village of Lacock. The maritime history of Bristol is an easy drive and the beautiful Cotswolds and also South Wales make an interesting day trip from this area.
London is just 90 minutes by train from Bath.
Bath / Bradford on Avon area
Bradford on Avon boasts not just picture perfect architecture but is also home to numerous boutiques and fabulous retaurants - if fact, this really is the centre of the independent retailer and produces a diversity not now found on the average high street. From a fine deli, to a well stocked cheese shop and a clothes shop called POISON, as well as antiques, flower and gift shops, there really is something for everyone.
Being situated on the River Avon and the Kennet and Avon Canal, there are boat trips and walks aplenty. The perfect excuse to slow down a little and enjoy a calmer pace of life, before heading back for a cup of tea at Clifton House.

Further details indoors: Beautifully furnished, (all refurbished 2007) the bedrooms are superbly equipped with fabulous beds, the best pillows and whitel linens and offer a hospitality tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. An emphasis is placed on cleanliness and we set ourselves very high standards. Flat screen digital freeview TV in each room. You can relax in the guest drawing room and read the papers or plan your day with the information, maps and books available.... Breakfast is taken in the dining room each morning and no-one leaves hungry!
Further details outdoors: We have a lovely garden which is particularly good during the Summer months. The hexagonal gazebo is a popular photo opportunity and you can even discover our secret garden.
The Victorian pond with fountain has a selection of very contented fish and you are very welcome to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings - July 2008 update: the local heron decided to eat some of the fish, so we are going to have to replenish and net the whole pond!
There is free off road parking, between Clifton House and our Coach House.

Booking deposit required. Balance payable upon arrival. We welcome "civilised" hen weekends however, we regret we are unable to accommodate stag weekends or groups of male only parties.
We are happy to recommend things to do for your weekend here - there are many things you can arrange to do from Thermae Spa to a visiting make-up artist.
