The Studio at Lynchetts offers boutique self catering accommodation for two in the heart of Bradford-on-Avon.

We offer all the luxury you'd expect (including a king size bed dressed with Egyptian cotton, rainfall shower and a fully equipped kitchen), styled with a mid-century, Scandinavian inspired twist. The Studio provides the perfect base for exploring Wiltshire, Bath and the Cotswolds, and is available throughout the year for weekly rentals and short breaks.

The Studio room was probably the old kitchen for the main Lynchetts house, and dates back to the 1700s. With exposed beams, a large fireplace with woodburning stove, and parquet flooring in the shower-room, it retains a sense of history whilst offering an airy and comfortable space for you to enjoy. The Studio is designed for two, but we can happily accommodate babies or toddlers by request.

The Studio has a living area with leather sofa, woodburning stove and TV/DVD player; a kitchenette with fridge, hob and cooker/microwave; sleeping area with kingsize bed, dressing table and wardrobe; sitting area with Sixties chair and vintage record player; shower room with rainfall shower and vanity unit; and a separate loo. Outside there is a private courtyard with table and chairs and a barbeque. You are also welcome to use the Lynchetts garden which has lawns, flowers, fruit and vegetables, an orchard, Georgian summerhouse, wildlife pond and amazing views of the town.

The Studio is in the heart of Bradford-on-Avon, a stunning town with Roman origins, a beautiful Saxon church, and many buildings dating from the 17th Century when it was a thriving centre for the woollen industry.

Today, the centre's ancient buildings contain an array of shops including a deli, an excellent butcher and numerous boutiques, along with a wide choice of places to eat and drink. Bradford-on-Avon is well connected to Bath and beyond by road, rail and canal, and is a great base for walkers and cyclists wishing to explore the area.

The West Country region

This region of England is known for its lovely countryside and many historic towns, houses and gardens. Easily accessible from London, the south of England is a paradise for walkers and cyclists. Particularly popular are the Cotswold Way, which ends in Bath, and the Kennet and Avon Canal which offers a flat route through some stunning valleys and woods.

Bath is a beautiful city, renowned for its Roman remains and Georgian architecture, but also a thriving, bustling centre packed with individual boutiques, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Visitors to Bath can enjoy the only Spa in the UK to use naturally thermal waters, relaxing in the open air rooftop pool all year round. Nearby Bristol with its rich industrial heritage makes for a great day out, while ancient cities such as Glastonbury and Wells are a delight to discover.

Bradford on Avon is a small town about 9 miles from Bath. It has a Saxon Church, an ancient Tithe Barn, and many buildings from the 1700s when it was a thriving centre of the woollen industry.

"Cosy yet stylish; perfect for a weekend break"

We stayed over a weekend in January and used the studio as a base to explore Bath. The location is excellent, with regular and cheap trains into Bath, and Bradford itself is very charming. The studio is lovely and certainly lives up to the promises on the website. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay for a cosy weekend away.

Thank you for your very kind review. I'm glad you enjoyed exploring Bradford on Avon and your stay at the Studio.

"Comfortable, cozy and delightful"

Lynchetts is a great little place to stay. The studio is beutifully designed and furnished and makes great use of the space available. It was clean and tidy on arrival and the treats in the fridge and in the cookie jar were a lovely extra touch. Amy has put together a great folder full of relevant info for the flat and of activities in the area which made our stay that much easier. The flat is located well - just a short walk into the village and right by the bus stop which takes you all the way to Bristol. We could not have enjoyed our time in Bradford-upon-Avon and Lynchetts is the perfect place to stay.

"Cosy and romantic home from home in a beautiful town"

Stayed two nights in this very comfortable studio apartment. Stylishly decorated with quality furnishings. Loved the vintage furniture and log burner. Bradford-on-Avon is a beautiful town with lots of places to eat right on the doorstep. We had great food at The Castle Inn.
The town is hilly with narrow streets and therefore parking can be a problem. We left our car in an unrestricted spot further up the street which was no bother. There is a car park available nearby but as we had found a space so close we didn't use it.
