About this location
The Somerset region
The West Country - the counties of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset - enjoys a milder climate than much of England, and consequently Cornwall has long been a popular summer getaway. The area provides the best surfing in England, with towns like Newquay, Bude and Croyde filling with enthusiasts every year. There is excellent walking on Bodmin Moor, domain of the legendary beast, and the coastline is wild and beautiful. There are scenic towns such as Penzance to explore and delicious Cornish pasties to sample. The area also has Celtic links and the legend of King Arthur came from here. It is easy to see where the myths of this area spring from, with the Bronze Age remains and standing stones which still dot the landscape. The Roman city of Bath and seaside resorts of Torquay and Bournemouth are great holiday destinations. The old port town of Plymouth is rich in history and Exeter cathedral is magnificent. If you're after some high class cooking, Padstow offers the famous seafood restaurant run by chef Rick Stein.
Bath is an exquisite Georgian city. The Royal Crescent, The Circus, Pump Room and Pulteney Bridge are among the finest architectural treasures in the world. The entire city has been designated a World Heritage Site. Children are well catered for, with a huge choice of parks with cycle paths and play areas. Bath and the surrounding countryside offer many varied activities such as golf, fishing, watersports, horseriding, as well as diverse cycling and walking trails.

Rented this property for my Daughter & her 2 young children who travelled from USA for Xmas. We had a family Christmas with sons from Bristol plus myself & husband .Plenty of space for all and room for children to play.
House spotlessly clean ,well equipped and very cosy ,Two bathrooms were a bonus ,as was the washing machine /dryer Our stay was 9days and we enjoyed every moment. Thank you Tony &Theresa for being so friendly & helpful ,one day we will return. Local supermarket 3min drive and small co-op within walking distance,& 10min drive into town. There is also a Park & Ride option very close as parking not great in Bath .Daughter was very impressed with every aspect of the house including the small garden which I am sure would be great in the summer time,Top rated property.

"Couldn't have been better"
For our extended family (7 adults and 4 small children) Marine Villas was perfect.
Well-equipped property, (but don't forget to turn on the extractor when cooking, the smoke alarm reacts with steam too!). Small co-op and a chip-shop 5 mins.walk away; Superstore about 7mins walk in the opposite direction. Bus stops nearby (Single flat ticket: 2.20GBP: Bath day ticketi.e. All day Bath Zone 4GBP)
There are all kinds of books-novels, guide books, etc.-, also DVDs and some games so plenty of entertainment if the weather's bad.
We spent a week there, enjoyed ourselves very much (and would certainly book again if any other members of our family decided to get married in Bath).
The only difficulty we had on arrival was finding our way there from the centre of Bath. without a Satnav.

"Great house, spotless andfully equipped for all the family, convenient location."
Rented this house for our family of four adult children and some spouses to stay with us for a local family wedding. Process very efficient, house was lovely, very clean and fully equipped even to washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets! Landlords very friendly and helpful. Parking was a real bonus. Well located for Bath and surrounding areas. Will certainly use this house again for future family events. Many thanks Tony.

"Perfectly located, extremely comfortable Bath accommodation."
Having stayed in Bath before we decided to take friends to show them what the fuss was all about.
Marina Villas proved to be absolutely perfect for what we needed.
The house was clean, tidy and well stocked for anything we would need. The location of the house was roughly ten minutes drive from the City of Bath and there were shops that stocked everything you should need close by.
The folder left on the dining table proved very helpful too, giving us numbers for takeaways restaurants and most usefully, taxi firms so that when we all wanted to go for a drink we could.
Would definitely stay here again.
