Situated in Upper Church Street, originally a late medieval barn, Teddy Bear Cottage has been meticulously renovated to offer superb three storey accommodation with landscaped, steep, terraced garden with shaded patio area.

Entrance hall. Sitting room with TV/DVD, gas fired stove and doors to an enclosed patio, furnished inner hall, and shower room. Kitchen/dining room with gas fired 'Stanley' range cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, with steep stairs to twin bedroom on the middle floor which has the use of the ground floor shower room. Off the inner hall are steep, narrow stairs leading to the middle floor with a study, double bedroom and bathroom. More steep stairs lead to the upper floor twin (which shares the middle floor bathroom) with a spectacular view over the old town.

New for 2013 is the separate Garden Room with en-suite shower room and 5 foot double sofa bed (extra charge). It is situated across the terrace from the main cottage and is all on one level.

Important Note: due to steep stairs and low window-sills, the cottage may not be suitable for very young children.

The West Country region

The county of Wiltshire is known as "The gateway to the West Country". With much of the county designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the region is a perfect destination for a relaxing break at any time of the year. Admire the beauty of the gardens; walk the White Horse Trail to see the eight white horses carved into the hillsides; or take a leisurely wander through our market towns and pick up the real flavour of country life.

Wiltshire has some delightful old market towns including Malmesbury, Marlborough, Devizes and Bradford on Avon. There are hidden villages that are waiting to be discovered, perhaps an old country pub or two or the unexpected distant sighting of a White Horse carved into a chalk hillside. A visit to the region should also include a visit to the world heritage sites of Stonehenge and Avebury.

Bath

The historic and picturesque town of Bradford-on-Avon, with its delightful shops and restaurants, is wonderfully situated on the banks of the River Avon, an easy half hour's drive or a short rail journey from Bath. Within an hour's drive are stately homes, spectacular gardens, historic sites and impressive landscapes.

The major attraction of Bradford-on-Avon is its late 10th century Saxon church, which is surrounded by historic listed stone buildings including the Grade II listed Teddy Bear Cottage.

"Fantastic Place to spend New Year"

We spent a week at Teddy Bear cottage New Year 2012!

The house is beautiful everything we needed home from home and lots of space for everybody!

We had a disabled child with us and this cottage was great for anybody with mobility problems!

Annette and John the owners were really friendly and very helpful!

The village of Bradford on Avon is so pretty and lots of good pubs and shops and a train station a few minutes walk for you to go out for the day to Bath or Bristol!

We loved the cottage and the village so much we booked again for this New Year before we left!

See you in December John and Annette!
