The West Country / Somerset region
The Historic City of Bath is ideally placed for exploring the West Country and Somerset. The Cities of Bristol & Wells are within easy travelling distance as are the Mendip Hills which includes the Cheddar Gorge and the caves both in Cheddar and at nearby Wookey Hole. The popular coastal resort of Weston-super-Mare is also within easy travelling distance.
Bath area
The City of Bath is famous for the Roman Baths, and Georgian Buildings. The newly refurbished Bath Thermae Spa is now open for swimming and beauty treatments etc (please note that treatments need to be booked in advance) The most famous architectural buildings are Bath Abbey, The Royal Crescent and The Circus and you can visit The Pump Rooms and the adjoining old Roman Baths. There are many museums, art galleries and places of interest within the city and the surrounding area. There are many live music venues and the Theatre Royal often stages shows prior to opening in London. There are a wealth of resaurants catering for a wide range of tastes offering cuisine from around the world. Bath is reknown for its variety of shops from International Boutiques, the main High Street names and lots of local businesses

Fly to Bristol International Airport - the City of Bath is approximately 35 minutes by car If travelling by car via M4motorway you would exit at junction 18 and take the A46 to Bath. There are always local taxis available
