With many walks and cycle paths (including Sustrans Route 24) on your doorstep and just a ten minute drive from Bath city centre, this cottage ideal for both romantic escapes and family holidays.

Recently renovated, Fishermen's Retreat combines contemporary luxury with traditional features. The first floor master bedroom features a king sized bed with luxurious egyptian cotton bed linen. If required, the bedroom can also be made up as a twin room. Further accommodation is available with a single guest bedroom on the first floor and a 4ft wide sofa bed in the living room.
The living room features a traditional wood burning stove and offers both lounge seating and a dining area for up to four guests. A flat screen TV and DVD player are available and the property also has wifi throughout.

A beautiful, private, south facing garden with honeysuckle and roses leads down to the Midford Brook where wildlife abounds and fly fishing is available.
Outside dining facilities, including a BBQ and table and chairs are available on the patio beside the house and there is also a decked area beside the brook - ideal for enjoying a glass of chablis under the willows while watching the kingfishers or fishing for the elusive trout.

A Welcome Basket containing cereals, coffee, teas, bread, butter, marmalade, milk and sugar is provided on arrival.
Linen, towels, use of wifi, utilities, and local taxes also included.
Conditions
No smoking except outside.
Unsuitable for the less able or children under 10.
Sadly no pets due to local wildlife.
Payment taken within 48 hours of booking unless otherwise agreed. Fully refundable up to seven days before arrival, after that deposits will only be refunded if we are able to relet the property.

Somerset is a beautiful part of the country and the Midford Valley's sheltered location creates a unique micro-climate.
The local area is of significant historic and archeological interest, with the father of English geology, William Smith, having resided nearby.
The area also sits on the site of the old Somerset coal canal and there are many artefacts to be found locally. The Annexe is just five minutes' walk from the Tucking MIll Viaduct, soon to become the site of the Sutrans cycle track 24.
The Bath / Midford area
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, there is lots to see and do in Bath. With historic architecture such as the Pulteney Bridge, Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths, the Royal Crescent and the Circus, and attractions including the Fashion Museum (previously the Museum of Costumes), the Jane Austen Centre and the Bath Thermae Spa, you'll be spoilt for choice.
There a regular festivals and events in Bath, including the Music Festival in June, the Mozart Festival in November, the Literary Festival in February/March and the Chrismas Market in December.
