ABBEY VIEW is a spacious and lovely studio apartment on the second floor of Abbey House in the exact centre of all the most exciting attractions of Bath - Right next door to the Roman Baths themselves!

This period apartment has a large living room & bedroom combination with 3 Georgian windows overlooking Abbey Green with its ancient tree and the cobbled streets of old Bath. There are fabulous views from all the windows including a view of the Abbey itself from the charming kitchen!

The Abbey View Apartment is fully furnished and boasts a sumptuous mahogany half-tester double bed, as well as wide screen Television, DVD, CD player and WIFI. The furnishings are both beautiful and comfortable.

There is lovely kitchen with breakfast table from which you get that spectacular view of the Bath Abbey. We have a swashing machine and dryer for those longer stays. The pretty bathroom has both tub and shower.

This romantic apartment comes with everything you could want to make your stay in Bath a delight. You can simply step down to the Abbey Courtyard and take your pick of the many many lovely restaurants and shops near by.

LOCATION: Abbey View is in Abbey House, an historic early Georgian building which once housed visitors to the Cathedral. Next door to the Roman Baths and Pumproom, as well as our beautiful fan-vaulted Cathedral, Bath Abbey, the house overlooks the old medieval streets that run alongside the Abbey and the Roman Baths. You will be exactly in the centre of Bath and everything you can imagine is at your doorstep.

RATES: Rates vary for the time of year and the length of stay, but always includes all taxes and utilities. There is a two night minimum stay, with a three night minimum stay on holiday weekends. Children and pets are welcome as long as all guests are well behaved and house trained!

CHILDREN: Abbey View is equipped with two folding beds for additional children for cosy family getaways! Pets welcome also, as long as they and their owners are well behaved. HOWEVER: Sorry, because of the antique furnishings, we can not have toddlers staying in Abbey House.

DEPOSIT: We will be taking a £100 deposit with your reservation which will be debited from your Credit/Debit card, and we will take your balance the same way 6 weeks before your arrival.

We will hold your card details as insurance against any damage, which we do not expect, but just to remind you that you are the one who will be responsible for the condition of the property when you depart. Try to make everyone in your party aware that they must be respectful of the neighbours as well as our property and to leave everything in good condition.

BALANCE: YOUR FULL BALANCE will be taken 6 weeks before arrival.
We will take this from your credit or debit card also.

CANCELLATION: In the unhappy event that you must cancel after you have paid your deposit or your full balance, we will make every effort to rebook the property. If the property is rebooked, your funds will be returned, less a £50 Administration Fee.

However, if the property remains unbooked, you will forfeit these funds paid to us in good faith.

This is the West Country - and Bath is nearly equa-distant from such famous sites as Stonehenge, Avebury, the Wye Valley, Glastonbury and the Cotswolds. We've got everything! Surrounding Bath: Bath is in a wonderfully central position in the Southwest, laying at the foot of the Cotswolds and at the gate to the Mendips. There are fascinating prehistoric and heritage sites fanning out in all directions - most in less than an hours drive. Holburne Museum of Art, Great Pultney Street (01225) 466669 Formerly the grand Sydney Hotel and surrounded by the Sydney Pleasure Gardens, which were a favourite respite for the likes of Jane Austen, who lived just across the road in Sydney Place, this is now the home of the Holburne Museum. It houses an exquisite collection of 18th century art and artifacts, including paintings by Gainsborough. It also has several special exhibits of artworks, both modern and historical. Victoria Art Gallery, Bridge Street (01225) 477233 This gallery is housed in the impressive Guildhall and boasts works by Gainsborough, Sickert, Turner, Farrington and Barker, as well as hosting regular temporary exhibitions throughout the year. This museum is one of the best interpreted museums in the world, and features a timeline comparison between Eastern and Western craftsmanship. This worthy museum is important to Georgian history, for fine chinese designs featured in Georgian dinnerware and textiles. William Hershel Museum, 19 New King Street (01225) 446865 This is the modest house in which the famous astronomer (and musician), William Hershel lived in the 18th century and from where he made many important discoveries with his homemade telescope, including the discovery of the planet Uranus. You can learn about how the less-than-enormously-wealthy folk lived at this time, visiting his workshop and music room. Well, it must be remembered that the American Revolutionary period is the Georgian period in England. This museum is in a spectacular manor house with landscaped grounds and gardens overlooking the amazing Limpley Stoke Valley. The Manor's rooms have been perfectly reconstructed to replicate different periods of American Colonial and revolutionary life. There is also a remarkable collection of American Quilts as well as featured textile and other arts-and- crafts related exhibits. Several events take place there each year celebrating historic points in American History or simply enjoying the American holidays.
