Near Sydney Gardens, ideal for 2 - 3 guests, just 15 minutes walk to Pulteney Bridge, for all the main sights. This is an independent guest apartment on the ground floor of our modern three storey house. We are new to Holiday Lettings but last year welcomed many happy guests through other booking sites, with excellent reviews.
The apartment is suitable for a child depending on age/duration, we have a z- bed or cot as preferred.
The style is contemporary yet cosy, with light but practical flooring, colourful rugs and accessories. You have your own private entrance so your space is your own, but we are nearby if needed. You have free car parking on site, and use of the rear garden which has a table and garden chairs.
SITTING ROOM / KITCHEN: has patio doors, sofa bed, armchair, breakfast table for two, radio/cd/docking system, new 24"TV with DVD player, radio/CD/ docking station, tourist information, books and Dvds. Kitchen with full size oven/microwave, ceramic hob, fridge with small icebox, granite worktop and the crockery and utensils.
SHOWER / WC: with power shower
DOUBLE BEDROOM: spacious and light (but with a dark blind for a cosy lie-in) , double divan bed, crisp white bedlinen, fitted wardrobe and space for a child bed or travel cot by arrangement. .
It is a pretty 15 minute walk to the city centre for all the main sights: Roman Baths, Pump Rooms, Abbey, Jane Austen Centre, Royal Crescent, Costume Museum and new Thermae Spa .We also have some great shops, restaurants, pubs and tea rooms.
The walk into town is via Sydney Gardens and Great Pulteney Street ( the film set for Vanity Fair) and over Pulteney Bridge ( filmed briefly in Les Miserables). It is slightly uphill coming back but the bus stops near our house, or a taxi from the Abbey or Train Station costs £5-6.
Most guests like to leave the car and walk or bus into town. Most of Bath can be seen easily on foot. As well as beautiful architecture and museums, Bath has great shopping , places to eat and drink and a good theatre, plus in winter Bath Rugby and the Christmas Market are very popular. Bath has many lovely parks and gardens to explore, take a balloon flight or a boat trip along the River Avon. During the year, we have various events for music and literature, the Rugby and Half Marathon, famous Christmas Market and a summer Jane Austen festival .
For an alternative day out, you have the maritime city of Bristol, ancient Stonehenge and the pretty Cotswolds all within easy reach (by car /train or some bus tours from the tourist office)

The West Country region
Bath is in north Somerset and on the southern edge of the Cotswolds.
The small city of Bath is compact and most of it can be seen on foot. There is plenty to see and do for a few days but if you wish to explore further, the region has lots to offer.
With an hour of Bath , the pretty Cotswolds will delight you with quaint old villages and chocolate -box cottages , gift shops and cream teas.
To the west, the city and port of Bristol can be reached by train in 10 minutes , and in under an hour (train or road) you can be across the River Severn into Wales
And heading east you can be in Ldon onin 90 minutes by train , or just an hour into Wiltshire for ancient Stonehenge and Avebury Rings .
The apartment is in Bath in the Bathwick area, south of Sydney Gardens. It is a pretty 15 mnutes walk to central Bath via Pulteney Bridge, gateway to the city centre - and you will find most tourist sights, shops, bars etc .all within a few minutes walk of the bridge. A taxi into town from the apartment will cost around £5 and takes 5-6 minutes. A regular bus stops near the house and takes approx 10 minutes ..
