The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Lot et Garonne region
The property is situated in one of the loveliest area in France, just 8km from the Dordogne border, and a half hour drive from Bergerac and the Dordogne River.
All the best places to visit both in the Dordogne and the Lot are easily accessible, making this the perfect base from which to explore this rural, historic part of France.
Douzains area
Fon du Bourg is situated on the edge of the small hamlet of Douzains which is 7 kms from the 13th century Bastide town of Castillonnes, with its good range of shops and restaurants. The property is surrounded by the beautiful open rolling countryside of the Lot and it is also only a half hour drive from two good 18 hole golf courses, including the very attractive St. Vigier golf course outside St. Foy le Grand.
The immediate area offers tennis, horse riding, swimming, lakes and two great 18 hole golf courses.
How to get there
There are new daily flights into Bergerac airport (23km) direct from London, Exeter, Bristol, Southampton and Birmingham. Whilst Bordeaux and Toulouse airports (one and half hours drive) have many international flights from regional airports and London everyday.
It is approximately 7-8 hours drive by car from Caen Dieppe or Le Havre and there are also direct trains from London to Bordeaux. Nearest motorway: Junction 5 A62 at 45 Kilometres

The Farmhouse has two sister properties that share the same 2 acre site; the 'Pigeonnier' with 1 bedroom and private pool and the 'Chai' with 3 bedrooms and use of the second larger 12 by 6 metre pool.
During the peak season the Farmhouse and adjacent Chai must be rented together as a single unit accommodating up to 14 and 2 cots.
