Characterised by open plan living areas, the lodge is tastefully decorated with muted colours and wooden floors, complemented by leather furniture, giving a warm and pleasing ambience. The extremely well equipped kitchen, and bathroom complement the ground floor of this endearing dwelling. The sleeping arrangements offer the main bedroom area with double bed and TV in the gallery above, with the option of further sleeping in the lounge on the sofabed.
From your doorstep enjoy relaxing lakeside walks (the lake is only 100 metres away), visit the nature reserve, or sail the quiet waters of Bassenthwaite as you delight in the breathtaking landscape which envelops you. Close by at Whinlatter Forest Park you may observe the Osprey which nest on Bassenthwaite lake between April to July. Visit the famous northern Lakeland town of Keswick and the old Georgian town of Cockermouth, birth place of William Wordsworth.

The location is superb being just 100 metres from the shore side of Bassenthwaite Lake and the surrounding fells of Skiddaw. Yet less than 10 minutes drive to either the bustling tourist town of Keswick or the quieter Georgian Town of Cockermouth (the birth place of William Wordsworth).

Situated in the Peak District National Park, the oldest in the British Isles, the area is a haven for all walks of life, escape to the country with friends and family and see why this is one of the most spectacular areas in the country. Lake activities include canoeing with one of the many qualified guides in the area who can arrange personalised tours of the islands, relaxing walks watching the diverse and beautiful wildlife or try a walks up onto the tops of the mountains to have a look at the lakes form above.

How to get there
From junction 40 (Penrith) on the M6 motorway take the A66 towards Keswick.
By pass Keswick and continue on this road for 8 miles with Bassenthwaite Lake on your right.
400 metres after the end of the small dual carriageway section turn right onto the B5291 - signpost Castle Inn, Dubwath and Embleton.
