Cherry Tree Cottage forms part of a complex of four charming cottages resting in the picturesque Derbyshire village of Barlow. Located on the edge of the Peak District National Park and close to the south Yorkshire border, these cottages are perfectly situated for exploring the very best of these beautiful areas. Set within 50 acres of conservation pastures, lakes and woodland, the area is also a haven for keen walkers and ramblers alike, with free fishing also available for visitors in the various lakes scattered in the grounds. Allowing one pet and sleeping five people, Cherry Tree Cottage offers quaint and homely accommodation all decorated to give a true homely cottage feel. The property comprises of a lounge/kitchen/diner, boasting an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge, TV with DVD player and a foldaway table and chairs. The bathroom has a shower over bath and the delightful bedrooms consist of a master bedroom with a king size bed and a further bedroom with a single bed and bunks beds. Visitors can also benefit from use of the on site launderette. Offering a real home from home, this lovely little cottage is the perfect place to base a holiday in this gorgeous area.

The Heart of England / Peak District / Peak District/Derbyshire region

The Peak District and Derbyshire is a contrast of high rolling moorland, craggy outcrops and picture post card vales and valleys with 'chocolate box' villages.
The whole area is dominated by Britain's first national park; The Peak District National Park which has been catering for visitors for many years. It's easy to get around with a good network of roads and excellent public transport.
There are many places of interest including some lovely towns and villages such as Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne as well as historical attractions like Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.
To the north of the region is the High Peak, with miles of heather moorland and great country walks and cycling.

The Baslow area

Barlow is located right on the edge of the Peak District in the North East of Derbyshire. Famous for its well dressings and carnival parade, this attractive village offers a haven of peace and tranquillity for holidaymakers and offers some friendly local pubs where you can relax and enjoy a quiet meal. The village itself lies only four miles from the market town of Chesterfield and is within easy reaching distance of many popular Derbyshire attractions, such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Poole's Cavern. Also nearby you can find the popular spa town of Buxton and the historical town of Bakewell, offering visitors a huge variety of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants to sample as well as a number of exciting attractions, such as the Pavilion Gardens and the Buxton Opera House.
