This cottage sleeps up to sixteen people and has seven bedrooms consisting of one ground floor family room with super king-size double (can be made into a twin) and a double sofabed, one ground floor double, one king-size double with en-suite bath and small office, one double with en-suite bath, two double with en-suite showers and one twin (can be made into a super king-size double) with fold out bed, as well as a ground floor family bathroom. This cottage also has a kitchen with dining area (seats 8) and conservatory (seats 4), dining room (seats 16), sitting room with open fire (seats 14), second floor observation tower with telescope and a large conservatory (seats 22). The hallway has a 6' pool table. Outside, this cottage has off road parking for eight cars and lawned grounds with hot tub, furniture and BBQ. Roa Island House is perfect for a special occasion with family and friends at any time of year.

The Barrow-in-Furness / Dalton-in-Furness area
Situated on the north west shore of Morecambe Bay is Roa Island, often known as the centre of sailing in Furness. With two yacht clubs and many pubs, this charming spot is a wonderful place for sailing and maritime enthusiasts. The historic market town of Ulverston is nearby and boasts a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants and as the birthplace of Stan Laurel, this lovely town is home to the only Laurel and Hardy museum in the world. The Furness coast offers many glorious sandy beaches and good birdwatching opportunities, whilst the Lake District National Park and its many attractions are also within easy reach. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, the South Lakes Wild Animal Park and Muncaster Castle also provide great days out, allowing for an activity to suit every taste and budget.

,Huge property with plenty of room for 8 adults and 6 children - even space to escape on your own for a quiet read if necessary. Within easy driving distance of many interesting places/attractions. The observatory with its own telescope together with the pool table and hot tub, was an added bonus. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, most voting this property joint top, when compared with the other 4 properties we have used in the past.

,Great house perfectly suited for the needs of a large group. Rehearsing our performance or playing word games in the living room with the open fire was especially pleasant. The sea views from the observation room were nice in the morning and at dusk.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
