Home description

Hillside cottage is a quaint thatched cottage listed by English Heritage. It is situated in the pretty village of George Nympton which has a pub with a good food menu. The town of South Molton is only 2km away and has a range of amenities such as banks and shops also a panier market twice a week selling local produce and crafts.
There is also a public swimming pool. It is on the edge of Exmoor national park giving a wealth of countryside and attractions.

Barnstaple / George Nympton area

George Nympton is a small rural village with a pub situated aprox 2km from the town of South Molton and approx 12 miles from the larger town of Barnstaple. South Molton has a honey farm with visitor centre, the town of Barnstaple has historic buildings and plenty of shopping.

Exmoor national park has many historic villages and places of interest including Lynmouth famous for its tragic flood in 1952, and Lorna Doone valley.
