Bowen Cottage is situated in the peaceful hamlet of Middle Marwood, providing a tranquil retreat in a beautiful valley setting. Like the adjoining thatched farmhouse the cottage is Grade II listed and has been tastefully refurbished to a high standard, featuring exposed beams in the stairwell and upstairs main bedroom.
There is a well-equipped kitchen with an electric cooker, fridge with freezer compartment and additional microwave. The kitchen opens onto a galleried dining area overlooking the lounge area, which itself is furnished with two comfortable double sofas and includes a colour TV, video and CD system, with a cast iron electric stove heater present if required.
Downstairs there is a twin-bedded room next to the bathroom, which itself has a bath, shower, WC and washbasin. The main bedroom features a pine double bed.

Bowen Cottage is ideally situated to enable you to take advantage of all North Devon has to offer: spectacular coastal scenery, secret coves, golden beaches, wild moorland, rolling hills and beautiful river valleys.
The cottage is positioned perfectly for easy access to the beaches at Saunton, Croyde, Woolacombe and Putsborough which are all within close proximity. It is 15 minutes from the regional capital of Barnstaple for shopping and its famous pannier market.
Barnstaple / Middle Marwood area
Ilfracombe, Combe Martin, Bideford, Lynton and Lynmouth are all within easy reach. Similarly Exmoor, the moors and Devon’s magnificent countryside are readily accessible.
If this is not enough the area has a plethora of tourist attractions to keep you and the children entertained. In Middle Marwood itself, you can explore many pleasant local walks through country lanes surrounding the cottage.
