Full of original features, this little cottage offers very cosy and compact accommodation for two people with an open plan living area and a unique ‘cabin’ style bedroom. Winding passageways and medieval steps lead to the property and although it feels a world away from modern life, the cottage is within easy reach of the town’s many amenities and its stunning sandy beach. This cottage is unlike any other you’ll ever encounter and provides a memorable base for a perfect, romantic break in a glorious part of Wales.

Shops and pubs approx 200m from property. Note: Property is accessed by 25 medieval steps with handrail - not suitable for less mobile guests.
The North Wales / Snowdonia/Gwynedd region
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. Snowdonia National Park, situated in North Wales, boasts breathtaking mountain scenery, crystal clear lakes and cascading waterfalls. Climb Snowdon, which at 1085m is Wales’ highest mountain, or travel to the summit in style on the charming Mountain Railway.
Alternatively, why not sample the beautiful green valley of Llangollen by steam train or from a leisurely horse-drawn canal boat. In July, the annual Llangollen Eisteddfod transforms the town into a unique centre of international music and dance, attracting musicians and singers from across the globe.You could also explore the beautiful coastline, safe sandy beaches and watersports of the Lleyn Peninsula, as well as Colwyn Bay, historic Conwy, Victorian Llandudno or the Isle of Anglesey on the north coast. To the south, there’s the lovely Brecon Beacons National Park, a haven of rugged moorland, forests and mountains that’s just perfect for nature lovers and walkers.
Finally, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is renowned for its wildlife, stunning coastal scenery, superb beaches and as the home of Britain’s smallest city, the City of St David’s.
The Barmouth area
Considered to be one of the most picturesque resorts on the Welsh coast, Barmouth is encompassed by the unrivalled splendour of the Snowdonia National Park. Very much a traditional seaside town, Barmouth has a beach holding the coveted Blue Flag award for cleanliness and is perfect for families looking for a holiday by the sea. Plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants supply visitors with all the amenities they require and the region is known for its temperate climate even during the winter months. Wales’ second highest mountain, Cader Idris, is nearby making the resort an ideal base for walkers and climbers wanting to explore the majesty of the Snowdonia mountains and hills. Harlech Castle, St David's golf course and Portmeirion Italienate Village are all within easy reach of this beautiful location, making it an ideal destination at any time of the year.

We had a lovely time at the cottage. Yes it seemed very small when we first arrived but this had been well described when booking and we loved the cosy, homely feel and quirkiness of the place. There was everything we needed for a home from home - all very cleverly organised. We were short of nothing in terms of facilities and equipment. Quality furnishings and knick knacks about the place made the cottage very homely. For the rainy days, there were plenty of quality DVDs to watch and some games, card sets, jigsaws provided which were a lovely touch. All in all, a fabulous holiday in a quietly secluded cottage but closely situated for all town centre amenities.

,The cottage was warm and very conveniently situated. The owner had left milk, cleaning stuff, towels, DVDs. books etc. Care had been taken. Everything worked. It was comfortable though small.

,First thing we noticed were the steps leading to the cottage, tiny Medieval steps that somehow made us feel like the holiday began at the start of the steps. The cottage was exactly how we thought it would be - small, warm and so cosy. The harbour was in view just around the corner from the cottage and the shops were very close. It felt like home and will be coming back .. far from the madding crowd!

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee per week or short break.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
