The North Wales region

Snowdonia is Wales' most dramatic area with Snowdon the highest summit south of Scotland. Its Welsh name, Eryri, is either derived from eryr - land of eagles, or perhaps more appropriately now the eagles have gone, eira - land of snow.

The Snowdonia National Park stretches from Conwy in the north to Aberdyfi in the south, taking in not only mountain peaks and thirteenth century fortresses but also ancient wooded valleys and rushing rivers.

A five minute stroll through our farm fields and boardwalk with picnic benches, brings you to one of the loveliest award winning Green coastline beaches in Mid Wales. There are magnificent sea and mountain views from the property and numerous wildlife and birds on your doorstep, just bring your binoculars. The area is renowned for its outstanding scenery and natural beauty.

Barmouth is located on the coast of North Wales, with a long sandy beach and a picturesque harbour bordered by the dramatically beautiful Mawddach estuary - Barmouth is the perfect destination for vintage seaside holidays, walking & outdoor activity breaks, or fresh air getaways at any time of year.

For the more active visitor there are miles of great walking, climbing and cycling routes, in fact Southern Snowdonia is an ideal base for the rambler who will find a host of new and delightful experiences within easy reach of Barmouth.

Follow disused railway lines, old miners' and drovers' trails or enjoy forays in the nearby forests. Explore hidden valleys, wild open moorland, lakes and mountains. Such a variety of unspoilt countryside and coastline provides the habitat for an abundance of wildlife - perfect for birdwatching or the opportunity sometimes to spot porpoise, seals and even Cardigan Bay dolphins.
