Customer Comments and Reviews Book:

This is one not to miss and we are already looking to book as soon as the diary lets us.

I have just stayed at “Trefechan” for four days with my family, and was consistently pleased with the level of consideration that has gone into preparing this bungalow for holiday renters.

The bedrooms are ample, with plentiful storage, the bedside lights are in the right place and they work.

The bathrooms are perfect, the kitchen is superb, with a dishwasher (praise be The Lord) and a washing machine with the fastest cycle ever!!

It's a great bungalow, and the owners are considerate and helpful,

I have no hesitation in recommending this holiday let, they deserve the 4 stars. E.W.

"Superb bungalow"

We've just returned from a 4 night break at Trefechan, Tal y Bont. The bungalow was superb, a real home from home, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Our hosts, Denise and Terry were so friendly and helpful with their recommendations for places to visit and dine. We can recommend Tony's Italian restaurant in Tal y Bont as somewhere special to eat. Great area for walkers with fantastic views. Would not hesitate to return.

"Comfortable and spotlessly clean"

Trefechan was ideally situated for our 3-night stay, with attractions and eating places within easy reach. The bungalow itself is spacious and beautifully presented. It has all the kitchen facilities you are likely to need, and there are two bath/shower rooms, which we found a great bonus. There was no wi-fi at the property, which was a small nuisance, but I believe Terry and Denise, the owners, are considering this for the future. The only thing we didn't like much at Trefechan was the short, very steep drive up to the front door. Terry and Denise kindly supplied us with chocks to prevent the car rolling away, thank goodness, and, to be fair, we could have parked at the bottom of the drive and walked up to the front door - except we had our frail, 83 year old mother with us. All in all, we were very impressed with Trefechan, and would recommend it to anyone.

Thank you for your lovely comments and feedback.
In respect to WIFI as per our chat on the subject in our first year we have tried to concentrate on re-investment in comfort eg kitchen, beds, and improved double glazing. this will extend the availabilty in low season as a most cosy property at a time when Snowdonia can be quiet and most picturesque.
We will however in the coming months reconsider wifi for 2014 and listen to your point that it should be unlimited for playing games, downloading etc bearing in mind that costs for a year have to be covered in a short season.
In regard to the drive and for the benefit of others looking at booking, this can be seen on our main photograph and there is a level area at the top of the drive for a large car. Parking on the road in this Cul de sac is also no problem. We provide wheel chocks purely as a secondary safety measure in case of hand brake malfunction or the car being left out of gear. The safety of our guests is most important to us.
Thank you once again for your feedback.

"A most beautiful bungalow"

We have just returned from a well earned break, made all the better for the most superb accommodation, it was spotless, everything you could possibly need for a stay was in the bungalow apart from a live in chef. The host were so accommodating and nothing was to much trouble for them, even down to bringing us a fan on the Saturday night, ( above the line of duty). So many little things were included, a selection of toiletries, food in the fridge, jams, fruit bowl, everything to make the stay comfortable. This is one not to miss and we are already looking to book as soon as the diary lets us. It was a joy.

"Brilliantly equipped and effortlessly hosted - clean, modern and comfortable."

We (my partner, sister and her young son) stayed at Trefechan, in Talybont for 4 nights in June. Ahead of the visit we knew that the owners Trevor and Denise were great at communicating with us (we had a fab email with details about how to get there and key points to look out for on the drive) and the welcome we had was lovely.

The house is really well kept, modern and clean with so much equipment (dishwasher, microwave, hob + oven, huge fridge/freezer, BBQ etc) all in really good condition. Trevor showed us all around the house - this was a a really thorough handover and we felt confident about managing the house. There was a folder of additional info and lots of local information left too re:local walks and local places to visit.

There were lots of little extras we hadn't expected, things like a bag of ice in the freezer and basic supplies like oil, tea and sugar to get you through the first night. They also left a welcoming 2 pints of milk in the fridge.

I would recommend this holiday home to anyone visiting the local area - it was so peaceful sitting in the garden in the evenings looking at the sea view! There's loads more I could say - Trevor and Denise really want you to have a great trip to Snowdonia and really make the house a great base to explore from.
