"Perfect for a family break in Wales"
Cannot highly recommend Dafold enough. We stayed for 7 nights the week just before Easter 2012. The location was perfect. Lovely view from our bedroom & living room windows of the sheep and their young lambs out on the field was a delight. Round the other side was the cow shed, which was also great to watch the cows feeding. It was a brilliant experience for our family to stay on a working farm.
We were about an hour's walk from the beach, going across the fields. Would be tricky for very young children, but ours are 10 & 7, and were fine. They loved the sand dunes, and the beach was lovely. Soft sand and very clean, hardly any litter at all.
It's a great location also because we had so much to do nearby over the week, including the Snowdon Mountain Railway, Portmerion, Greenwood Forest Park (absolute must for the kids, they loved it), and Harlech Castle.
Weren't too inspired by the pub food nearby. Best one was Ty Mawr, Llanbedr. Plus we found Ebinezer's Thai Restaurant in Barmouth (which had only just opened as an evening restaurant 3 days ago) was excellent. It's also a coffee shop & ethic arts & crafts shop during the day. Great atmosphere, wonderful food, plus hospitality was great.
The accommodation itself was brilliant. Immaculately clean, well kept, very comfortable, well appointed, comfy beds. Plus everything you need is provided, dishwasher tabs, toilet paper, tea, coffee... Even milk, cheese, butter & delicious malt cake. Wi-fi strength was excellent. Children loved the games room.
On the whole 11 out of 10. If you are looking for a perfect family break in Wales, you can't do better than this. Thank you to Heather for making it so welcoming for us.

"Lovely, Relaxing Break"
My husband and I stayed for a relaxing 3 night break in Daflod. The cottage was gorgeous, very cosy and spotlessly clean. It has everything you could possibly want. A real home from home and so relaxing. Heather was really helpful and I will definitely recommend to family and friends.
