This old stone town house has been newly renovated. There are three large double bedrooms each with en suite shower rooms, a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area and lovely private terraces front and back. Parking is directly in front of the house.

We are two minutes walk from the centre of the village where you will find; three bakeries, two butchers, two banks, a chemist, a post office, grocery shops, supermarket, boutiques, cafe/bars, restaurants, tourist office, park and tennis courts.

Barjac is in the very north of the Gard, on the cusp of the Cévennes, between the Cèze and Ardèche rivers.

There are plenty of tracks leading into the countryside from the village that are excellent for cycling and walking.

This area boasts vineyards, lavender and sunflower fields, olive groves and fruit orchards.

There are numerous outdoor activities including; canoeing/kayaking, swimming, canyoning, horse-riding, climbing, cycling, caving and pot-holing...

In the summer there is plenty of river swimming either in the Cèze or the Ardèche. There is a lovely big public outdoor swimming pool in Méjannes Le Clap which is 18 km away.

All amenities are within a few minutes walk and there is a market every Friday morning selling local produce.

The Brocante, an international Antique Fair, is held here twice a year at Easter and mid-August.

This area is famous for the Ardéche Gorge where you can swim, canoe, kayak, rock climb and cycle. The newly opened centre for the Grotte de Chauvet caves containing some of the earliest known paintings is approximately 15km away. The spectacular Aven d'Orgnac caves are 10 minutes drive away as well as the new Grotte de la Salamandre caves near Méjannes Le Clap.

Indy Park, a tree climbing adventure park is just five minutes drive.

Visit the silk worm museum at the Chateau des Roure, 8 km away and learn about the production of lavender oil at St. Remèze.
