A beautiful house built in 1782 on a hillside overlooking the town of Barga and the Apuane mountains. Very private location with lovely flower gardens, boxwood hedges, palms, roses, wisteria, fig, pear, apple and plum trees, and upper and lower terraces. A grape arbor canopies the lower patio for outdoor eating; a porch swing on the upper level for enjoying the belvedere.

The house, furnished with 19th-century Tuscan furniture and original works of art, consists of two bedrooms, a living-room, a sitting-room with fold-out couch, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with sit-down bathtub/shower. The kitchen has a fireplace and an abundant supply of wood is available. A washing machine is located in the basement. Parking available for two cars.

Located 1 km. north of Barga (localita' Fondamento), the property can be reached in two minutes from town by car on the main road, or 10 minutes (1/2 km.) on foot along the panoramic old stone road that leads through the medieval gate into the old town of Barga.

The property is available for a maximum of four weeks per rental.
