Cottage | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Stable Cottage is at Huntercrook, north of the village of Bardon Mll and on the edge of the Northumberland National Park, near the Roman Fort of Vindolanda. Here you are surrounded by Northern England's most beautiful scenery and within easy reach of the North Pennine Dales and the Lake District as well as Hadrian's Wall, making it the perfect location for touring, walking, cycling and riding - or just relaxing and watching Nature at her most glorious.
With one double and one twin bedroom (and a good-quality bed-settee in the spacious living-room if needed) the cottage is newly refurbished to provide the most comfortable accommodation, with a fully-equipped modern kitchen, log-burning stove in the living-room and even wi-fi if you need to access the internet! Your children (and also your dogs) are very welcome, with travel-cot, high-chair and nursery fire-guard available if required.
The cottage has a SMART TV and "freesat" so guests can go out and about and still catch up with favourite programmes at their own convenience, whilst we also provide NETFLIX for your entertainment so there is no need to pack lots of dvds to keep the kids amused!

Beyond the paved parking area - with ample off-road space for two or three vehicles- a gate leads into a lovely patio-style garden. Here is a peaceful spot to sit and enjoy the sunshine, or with plenty of garden furniture and a built-in barbecue, it is ideal for family meals outside on summer evenings.
To the rear of the cottage there is also an enclosed yard, where you will find a good supply of logs for the stove and also secure storage for bicycles.
Next to the cottage we have a small paddock which is completely fenced and free from stock where guests may exercise dogs or allow (supervised) children to play. Please note that we charge £25.00 for dogs.
Please note that although the cottage is single storey, there are three steps, with handrails, to both front and rear entrances, so we regret that access is not suitable for wheelchair users.
