There is a wealth of bars, restaurants, shops and diverse culture throughout the Old Town, making it the obvious choice for people looking for a Barcelona property from which to enjoy the best of the city.
Barceloneta is the old fishing district of Barcelona and is characterized by low-rise narrow streets tucked in between the wide sandy beaches on the sea-side of the peninsula, and the curve of Barcelona’s oldest marina – Port Vell. Home to a large part of the yachting community, there is an abundance of authentic old seafood restaurants scattered around the Harbour. In addition the large shopping complex of Maremagnum with its shops, restaurants, and discotheques, has also brought new life to Barceloneta, enticing other attractions such as the IMAX, and the Barcelona Aquarium.
How to get there
Flights to Barcelona are available from most UK airports. Approximately 2hrs flight time. From the airport it takes 20-30 minutes in a taxi . Give the taxi driver the address they should know where it is but if they’re unsure tell them it’s by Port Vell, in Barceloneta.
