The Costa Brava/Catalonia region
The Costa Brava of Catalonia is one of the most well-known areas of Spain. Receiving millions of tourists per year. Catalonia traditionally is an autonomous region in Spain and in fact has it's own culture within the Spanish culture. It is quite different.
Also the celebrations can fall in different periods. Catalonia consists of various areas. There is the Barcelones, the Tarragones, el Girones, and Lleida. Especially in the north, el Girones, you will be able to find several typical medieval villages which is a joy for the eye and definitely worth a day visit (inform for tours).
The Tarragones is known for the many vineyards it has (the famous Penedes). Great for sightseeing and wine tasteries. In the Barcelones you will of course find Barcelona, offering you all a Mediterranean holidaymaker might wish for.

Enjoy the loads of restaurants located in El Born, just one street behind the apartment. Right in front of the apartment you can walk to the Old Port (Port Vell). You will find many fish restaurants and bars in that area. Also the spectacular Port Views are a joy for the eye.
Within just a small stroll of about 5-10 minutes you will find the Barcelona beaches (Barceloneta).
Sightseeing is well at hand from the apartment. In the area you will find the Old Gothic city walls, the Santa Maria del Mar cathedral as well as the Catalonian parliament. Not far either is the famous Maremagnum, an enourmous harbour leisure complex, where you can eat some typical 'tapas', shop or go to the Imax theater.Within this same complex the (Sea) Aquarium of Barcelona is located, definitely worth a visit.
